Not the right solution for me…I love & play Diablo since 1997 and still playing D4 every day, so my suggestion would suit me better.

I’m wondering how the data for items is actually being stored server-side. I feel like if all items were assigned a basic alphanumeric value on the server, with only the user client deciphering and displaying the item based on that value, this wouldn’t even be an issue on most modern hardware.

Sadly no news to personal stash tabs during the Developer Update, but I hope that it’s on theyr list.

Would also be very nice to store all the stuff from seasons, no idea how to store all the amazing items & builds I’ve found in the Eternal stash…a mule character with it’s own stash tabs would be amazing here to store it.

Isn’t the problem that it’s pulling the data for everyones stash in that instance, you’d still have to select everyones personal stashes. If you could filter by character, it would just be easier to select by a primary key (like playerId)

Not sure you understand what the actual root cause of the performance is.

I think u misunderstood the thread.

With my suggestion it won’t become better performance vise, but not worse eather… instead of 5 shared stash tabs for all 10 character we would have 1 shared and 4 personal for everyone of them.

The overal size of the tabs and the ammount the game has to load would stay the same…5.

The problem is that they can’t add more stash tabs that easy because they’re “memory hogs” but with my suggestion they wouldn’t have to add additional tabs even if the memory problem can’t be solved.

So instead of loading 5 shared stashes for every character the game would load 1 shared and 4 personal…in both situations the game has to load 5 stash tabs but with the difference that every character can have more stash space in general by having 4 personal tabs.
