I am one of those poorly skilled gamers that love gaming. I am thinking minion necro is the way to go for season 4 for me but looking for feedback.
I just started playing a couple weeks ago and I am almost 60 hours in and only managed to get to 60 on my ice shards sorc. I played blizzard up to 50 and I think I preffered that over ice shards but both work ok and I am actually killing stuff on tier 3 and not dying too much but nightmare dungeons take a while as i have to wait on cooldowns.
Anyway just looking for an OP easy class to play for the season. Keep in mind I have poor reaction timing…

well, the minionmancer for sure is looking good for season 4. + you get some neccessary gear for this build in the season journey =)

There will be a lot of new things in season 4, but the safest bet is always the classes that are the hardest to kill.
I would say Barb and Druid. But new Uniques may change that.

Sorry for being dumb but what gear? Are they giving gear instead of aspects this time? I haven’t read much about this season other than patch notes

well, they give gear + aspects, that are suited to a predefined build for the season. In the case of the necromancer, itll be minion related gear.
Imagine it a little like it was done in d3.
The gear is a new addition right or am i busy going insane?
They don’t need to give free gear the games easy enough as it is but i do love me some summonancer

Yes this addition starts with S4. Not many like this, some are on the fence like me and some like it. Devs asked for feedback on it, so we’ll see how it turns out.
It just makes things easier why can’t we have challenge in video games anymore
Go to maxroll, icy-veins, or mobalytics they all will provide a tier list and exactly how to make whatever the OP build will be.

I think there is a lazy minionmancer build, it basicly auto uses some of your skills, leaving you with few buttons to press. Could also try out thorn builds, mobs kill themselfs when hitting you.

Not sure how OP the Minion Necro will be per se. I can tell you in the PTR I got up to Pit Tier 73. My damage wasn’t a problem, more so survivability at that point, but I also didn’t have completely optimized gear, or even full masterworking. Regardless that’s the build I’m going.
Now my leveling version of the build will differ from the final product at 100 with actual gear. Minions, while good at any level now, are a little weak and slow while leveling. You may want to supplement your own damage, either through bone spear, or a skill of your choice. Later on though your golem will be one-shotting elites in NMD 100’s.
Pulverize Druid is fairly easy, I’m sure there’s a fairly easy Barb build out there too. Would stay away from Rogue or Sorc though.

Yea I get what you are saying and you’re not wrong. But, I belive these items will be unoptimised, low roll, low power level items. And by the time you unlock all these, you might have allready found better items, or geathered aspects for a different build. You can just ignore them, and salvage them to get the aspects. Also don’t forget we will be seeing way less items droping so… it might not be that bad. Let’s just wait and see how it works out, before jumping into conclusions.

So far from what it seems like from the PTR and then reading the patch notes after the PTR. I would have to put them in this order
- Barb - The WW dust devil was insane on PTR but dialed back when reading the patch notes. Should still be fairly good though spin to win.
- Druid - Pulverize seems to be a good skill overall
- Necro - Minions got hugely buffed so this should be awesome to play
- Sorc - The unintended interactions with Fractured Glass Unique drops the sorc down to almost the bottom. If it wasn’t fixed it would be top 2 or 3 maybe even 1.
- Rogue - Just meh overall really, Barrage / Rapid fire will probably be the way to go again since sky hunter did receive a slight buff.

Skyhunter will not be used at all by any Rogue aware of how far its fallen.
After my theorycrafting over the last few days I have found that Rogue will potentially …barring any other unforseen changes…have at least 2 build catergories that performs at least respectful to other classes if not better than a few of them. Rapid Fire as a whole is going to be really good. Shadow Step builds or a similar build that replaces Shadow Step with a high procs skill may end up being the best rogue build and has the potential to do nutty damage and be on par with other classes.
Thanks all! I will probably try minion necro but barb also sounds fun and druid was always my favorite class in WOW. I might end up trying a few builds.
I realize my opinion may be unpopular but I really like the concept of the spec specific seasonal caches. I think it will give an opportunity to try new things to many players who normally stick to what they know.
My two mains atm are BS necro & Blizz sorc but while I will prolly level as BS, I am seriously considering going the route of a minion build and this little package is appreciated.
Plus, I don’t think it will be optimized gear anyway, so the hunt for improvement will very much still be there.

Looking forward to learning how to crochet while playing my Thorns Barb in S4.
Bonespear Necro is pretty damn chillaxed too.
What kind of theory craft build did you come up with? Im a bit curious to see it if you don’t mind sharing.
