Just had an idea. Some players would like to keep leveling up past level 100 and working towards something even if it is minor. Why not add a new leveling bar after level 100 and every time you level up, you earn 10 platinum for your account? Seems a good way to reward players that continue to play the game and it isn’t a new power progression system. What are your thoughts on something like this?
So like a paragon system but you get platinum? I mean I wouldn’t argue with it, but I wouldn’t mind also more plat for the bp once finished either.
Maybe in the least they could add this bar to the bp and do this.

I’d be fine with ways to earn platinum, but im curious as to why they don’t follow suit like other games with battle passes? Other games if you put the time and effort to complete the battle pass you’d have just enough currency to purchase the next one. Heck some games even give you more than the battle pass cost. Its basically you don’t put the time / effort in you’ll have to shell out a couple of bucks to get the next one.
Greed. Really simple.
If they did that to offer some special cosmetics… I would be intrigued.
Honestly the only reason I’m suggesting it would be to eventually earn enough to buy a cosmetic set. With current prices and 10 platinum per level, I would need to level up 280 times roughly (past level 100) to earn a nice set from the store. Even if I don’t earn it in 1 season, I could potentially earn it in the next season.
Just saying it would be a nice bone to throw our way.
I get the feeling if they ever added a way in game to receive platinum it would be trickled in extremely slowly. There’d probably be a weekly cap, and in about 6 months of grinding literally everyday/week you would have enough to buy the lowest priced item in the shop.

Like this idea, progression after level 100, even if it’s 1 platinum per level it’s still something to strive for.
I’d prefer it be feasible to earn a nice set at least once every 2 seasons.
If they throw me a chicken bone instead of a turkey bone, it’s still more than I had before.
It will never happen. Anything that defeats the purpose of their cash shop and battle pass will never be included into this game. It’s a nice thought to have, but Blizzard is at a level where they don’t have to appeal to the masses in the way Helldivers 2 does.
So we’re in agreement once every 6 months, since 2 seasons would be 6 months. A full set though may be asking for too much. This is Blizzard after all, we can’t get too greedy.
It’ll just fill the game up with bots.
If we settle on MTX has any value at all. We should compare it to another titles.
Most BPs I bought or seen contain multiple sets and other things and if you are able to get some free its about 1 set per seasson.
Current BP is one set per seasson. Its just to low for me.
Ofc they can´t give it for free or too much but I think its not greed to want 1 sets per 1 or 2 seasson. But it will never happen.
If the Blizzard is going to allow full trading minus Uber uniques, I’d say it’s too late to worry about that now. It will happen regardless.
Def agree there need to be in-game ways to earn Platinum, but I’d def prefer it be a reward of its own for something like completing Seals in the Gauntlet each week (so there was incentive for the 99.99% of people who won’t be on the leaderboards), but ALSO still have an additional progression system tied in with paragon (or even just reworking/extending paragon beyond 100).
I don’t want D4 to have D3’s infinite paragon board. I would rather stop character progression systems at level 100.
That said, if they did add a third progression system into the game, I’d rather it cover levels 50-100. Maybe some sort of Mastery system. It could be another skill tree but will focus more on mastering the skills we chose to put on our characters.
Honestly, I think being able to earn 1 set off the shop every 2 seasons (6 months) is a reasonable bone to throw players. Especially since every season they add like 3-5 new sets PER Class on the shop. It’s gotten a bit excessive.
I don’t see it happening but I would like it.
“Hey you played our game loyally for 50 hours past 100, here’s some platinum to get those wicked transmogs you’ve been eyeing for awhile.”
Essentially that what I am proposing, loyalty rewards.
Did you all see what’s happening with Dragons Dogma 2 today? They are getting trashed / review bombed for releasing a full priced single player game with $2-$5 microtransactions. Most are to unlock extra copies of things in the game, or to edit your character.
I am not sure the comparison is totally valid, but I did buy D4 as a single player game.
If there was some way to earn platinum in game in D4, the 5-6x as expensive MTX in Diablo 4 might not seem as ridiculously expensive.
But I do agree that it’s unlikely to happen.
