Wait you want to play from now until the 3rd, or from the 3rd until the 8th? Regardless you’d be playing on Eternal, as the new season doesn’t start until the 8th.

Interesting concept.
I think TC wants to be on a separate PTR from the live server. If there is Early Access for the live servers, that means there has to be a patch for the live server but everyone else can’t go to the new place nor get the new items yet.
Well there was the announcement that partners/streamers would get 10 days early access. From the 24th to the 3rd. So I’m guessing they mean that. Regardless though, it would be similar to what you’ve just said, and nothing would cross over into the brand new Season anyway. At most they might get credit for completing the campaign if that?
I’d personally rather wait, start a brand new season with a new character myself. To each their own though.

Season should pre-start at October 3rd. Gives us time to help the peasant class that comes in after. 
Jk. I dont know how all this works. I guess, the Live-Streamers at the pre-launch is akin to a PTR? meaning their efforts are wiped after? huh… Guess I’ll wait till the 8th then. >.<
Yea new season starts on the 8th, so there will be a 5 day rest period in between when the streamers stop playing and then start up again. We’ll all be going in fresh on the 8th.

The seasonal stuff is probably slim like it has been… the attraction of the pre-release access on game launch was simply playing the game, exploring the regions, testing out skills. VoH would also obv have runewords, mercs, and the new class… seasonal theme is probably paltry by comparison.

That is your problem. Why do you think because you paid more for the same game that you should go first? And what if you feel like you did not get what you paid for? Would you come to the forums and RAGE? And demand a REFUND? That’s a rabbit hole Blizzard would rather avoid.

Why should you get something that was not explicitly listed in the package you bought?
The Launch Ultimate Edition specifically listed the early access.

If you didn’t know, all of them even got the ultimate expansion for free. Not just the early access, but it actually cost them $0!

I’d love PTR round 2 with all content and without Mrak! Eternal is fine! I don’t need a head start on character progression but it would be cool to test new content and builds first hand vs being limited to what media/content creators choose to test/share.
That being said I know it’s not going to happen, because “Partners” can be held to an NDA to not disclose spoilers whereas letting in all who bought ultimate xpac would certainly let all of the cats out of the bag
I have no problem with EA, but they probably decided that the push back isnt worth the hassle. I think its good for staggering the population out and making launch day run a lot more smoothly. But you will always have the jealous types upset that people who paid more got to go first. So prepare for tons of lag in nahantu.
