Dx12 compatible GPU error

PC Specs (MSI Cyborg 15 A13VE):

  • 13th gen Intel i7 2.4Ghz
  • 16GB RAM
  • Windows 11 64bit
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU 6GB (Driver 576.80, just updated today)
  • connected to an external ultrawide monitor (1440p) that I use as my primary screen

Before the most recent graphics driver update, I suddenly ran into a crash (Run out of memory) that led to a Blue Screen, when my PC rebooted, it no longer read my NVIDIA graphics card. The next time it booted up, it reappeared, thankfully. I had made some changes to my graphics settings in game since I was seeing some shaky frames/screen tearing and I figured this led to the initial crash, but now I can’t get the game to load for longer than a couple minutes and regardless whether I’m in a menu or in game, it will crash, now with the “Dx12 not supported by GPU” error.

I haven’t had any issues running the game on this system before, and now I can load the game once for a couple minutes until the Dx12 error crashes the game (but not my PC), and trying to load the game again only leads to the error message without any game loading screen. I have run into the “Run out of Memory” error one other time while trying to diagnose this problem, so there is probably some relation, and from past forum posts I’ve looked up, I see that some people have been dealing with this problem since day 1 but I haven’t seen a fix…

Any tips/advice greatly appreciated as I don’t do much gaming anymore and hate that I have to waste time on this, Thanks
