Dust Devil aspects are disapointing

Doing a frenzy/ double strike build and love the idea of throwing out fiery tornados around the room using 2 aspects: Devlish / Windlasher.
Not only are these aspects incredibly rare drops ( for me anyways. Only found 2 of each after lv 65)
But they do irrelivant damage , do not seek targets and last for 1 second.
I love the idea behind this build but i cant justify sacrificing 2 Offensive slots for these when i can just invest in other raw dmg aspects for big beefy dbl strikes.
Double strike build realy is a great ability but these aspects are F tier.
Am i wrong about these?

If you find a high roll in early sub 60 game, they can be useful. They are certainly no good once you start getting ancestral items, and definitely worthless in endgame. I was looking at the dust devils coming off my WW throughout the game, and early on (50 something) I had a max rolled sacred Dust Devils aspect and it was knocking off about half the life of non elite mobs.

I tried a max roll ancestral later (1274 damage or so) when I was in WT4 and you could barely see the health come down when it hits a regular mob. Hits for like 10k at this level, and that is pretty worthless.

Another aspect I tried that was disappointing was the one that summons an ancestor if Ancestral Call is on your skill bar. I kid you not Talic was hitting for 1k per tick in his WW, this is abysmal damage at level 90 something. It would be more reasonable if the damage from the summoned Ancestor was on par with what they do while the skill is active.

While Berserking, you deal x amount of fire damage around you. Like okay cool you deal damage surrounding you great. Fire damage? No scaling at all? Fixed aspect damage? You would think some of these aspects would interact with stats or skills or other aspects. But they are all stand alone extra passive damage. Any passive damage is a no-no to blizzard. Yet they still give them to us because they can’t come up with anything else. I can understand the thought process of making things weak then buffing them later. Instead of having high numbers then nerf those damage later. Guess we have to way a lot longer to see if these aspect does anything else.

Its really more for fury gen than anything imo.

Terrible aspects. Somebody did all 3 Dust Devils, claiming they stack, but that’s way too much investment for mediocrity.

Yea i think im going to have to wait for theae aspects to get buffed and just invest in others.

I want a blood nova for DS. It needs AOE and bleed capability. Also needs something else that stacks crit chance.

Leap quakes are way better for that and actually do damage while giving you a DR buff.
