about as dog sheet as andariel and lilith now… thanks B.
I like the changes. It makes the encounters less boring.
Is it like a forced invulnerability thing? I could jump on and check but I have no interest in playing this season.
This one is actually ok because the room is manageable. Harbinger is also once you understand the gimmick though the could tone down the damage from the wolves and red projectiles
Andariel’s fight is the worst of the bunch, way too much digital vomit on screen to begin to understand what is happening.
what is lame is that bosses like andy, duriel, and doggo with multiple phases that can’t be by passed drop really crappy loot compared to loot pinyata belial which you can insta gib. i’d think belial should be the harder boss but newp!
The immunity while not shown as immune isn’t good.
Just wasted time basically.
Ive been thinking about the rest of it.
The challenge these power growth titles have is there’s a sweet spot on the curve where the dps test had it evenly matched. Before that you’re getting pwned and after that you just drop them progressively faster.
By that stage the mechanics are never engaged.
Is there another answer to instakill and for the boss to be less of a push over?
Or to get chance to engage mechanics?
I think it’s a bit bugged atm which isn’t a good look… can see why they delayed release.
With my Incinerate Sorceress, who has pretty bad gear (I’ve played almost as much as I did in Season 7, but my gear is much worse), I reached a point where I can drop enemies to half health in 2 seconds. (Torment 3)
And the only thing that forces me to do mechanics (depending on my luck, 1 or 2 phases) is immunity.
Ancestral gear, Mythics, and legendary runes are… a fantasy, a myth. And killing bosses takes twice or maybe even three times as long as it did last season.
Honestly, I don’t know how anyone can think this is fun. It’s not.
Watching the boss go immune just to stretch out the fight isn’t fun.
It’s like in anime where the villain starts talking about their childhood trauma and evil plan to conquer the world, and somehow the protagonist just can’t finish them off in that moment.
You are forced to wait out 2 burrows.
It just makes the fight 3 min instead of 1 second.
I could understand being forced into phases with bosses like Lilith or Belial.
But a regular boss? One that’s designed to be a punching bag?
Ironically, I can one-shot Belial.
But all the others, who should be way weaker in terms of power, I can’t.
Duriel’s boss fight is dirt easy compared to the shenanigans from the Andariel fight.
Forced mechanics is even more boring… It sounds like: "Hey, we don´t have competence to balance properly our own game so take this crap as “enhancement”.
Someone did the math. Duriel fight has around 45 seconds total delay time where you can do nothing but run around. Sounds more boring to me.
Never gotten a thing worth anything from Belail or the last two seasons from Duriel for that matter. Really kills the motivation to even do them when I have the mats. I mean, like none of hamster wheel is even fun after a couple of times.
By enemies do you mean bosses? You can half a bosses health in 2 seconds? So it’s full health bar would take 4 seconds? And the immunity phases make it takes 2 or 3 times as long?
So you have to fight the boss for 8 to 12 seconds?
Turns head slowly and looks at camera
You know what I mean.
It was mentioned above.
The fight could be over in 4 seconds, but with the phases it gets stretched to 2–3 minutes.
What used to take me maybe 5–10 minutes to farm now takes me 45.
As long as I don’t get bored of waiting, grow impatient, and die to a silver/red/green fart just because I tried to rush it.
The phases don’t add 3 minutes if you’re capable of deleting the bosses health pool in 4 seconds. The pangs have less health than Duriel as do those statue things Andarial has.
Complaining about having to spend 3 minutes on a boss is assinine. It’s a boss. A lord of hell at that.
I run harb and andy on tier 1 or 2 just for the belial mats. Durial on T4. But you’re right they rarely drop anything meaningful anymore.
What can I say.
I take down 2/4 of his health, do the first phase, he comes to the surface and vomits worms, then hides again — and this is where the RNG element comes in.
If I deal enough damage, then I kill him and the fight’s over.
But if, by chance, I didn’t deal enough damage, he hides again and I have to repeat the phase for Duriel to finally drop to the ground.
It’s something that happens in all fights — especially with Andariel.
Either way, what I said before still applies: I could kill him in 4 seconds and not waste 2 or 3 minutes just for the sake of wasting them.
I have nightmare yesterday.
Duriel and his wicked bros came to my dream and tell me they are tired of gettin 1 shot by players. Now, we have to suffer to agony…
I play my own build that does wimpy baby damage compared to a meta build. On torment 3 Andarial took approximately 30 seconds and Duriel approximately 1 minute. Yes I do heavy health damage initially. My build relies on overpowers and those take some seconds.
I do not believe these bosses take 3 minutes for you if you are halfing their health in the first few seconds. Even if it was only 2 minutes, are we really complaining about having to play a video game for 2 minutes?
