Duriel Mats in the Blizzard store! WOOHOOO :)

As if it’s not p2w atm. Theres a huge RM market for duriel mats. As if most players can fit it helltide timers? otherwise why would blizzard is removing the time gating? Some people can fit in 1 - 2 helltides per day, as if it’s enough mats to target uber uniques. Duriel runs starting 50 to 100x on a daily basis for stable ubers on multi classes. Do your maths.

Turning black market into official isn’t a bad thing. One of most disgusting aspects of d2 lead trading is blackmarket RM trading.

Lol …

I mean this guy gets it!!!

And this one too …

Not officially, you can buy currency in literally, every (successful) online aRPG, MMO, etc .

So … like … whats your point?

There is no P2W in D4, like it or not. And no, unofficially doesn’t make D4 P2W.

Because rmt undermines what they’re trying to accomplish, the experience they want for the player. It cheapens the achievement of acquiring things.
They’re making the things rare so that it’s something extra having one. That makes people invested in the game, have them pride themselves over their fine gear. That makes people purchase items from their shop and spreads the good word about the game around as people who are satisfied talk positively about it. That sells them expansions and draws more people in.
If it’s cheap, it’s not valuable; obviously. And if the effort of Joe and Jane is not valuable, they will feel cheap. They purchased the game and put 200 hours in, getting some gear, only to realise that their items are trash compared to what can be procured from spending what the game cost and a few hours.
That makes Jane and Joe irritated and they won’t purchase the expansion or the next game. Joe and Jane representing the bulk of business, as casual mass does, loses Blizzard much money leaving.
That’s how it can be concluded that it is not in Blizzard’s interest to sell their own items. Besides, there’s many p2w games out there and it wouldn’t be a big controversy for them to make this one just that. They’ve chosen not to, promising they will not sell items themselves, but they could and we’d buy. How many of us would is a different question. And we’d all look at the items in a different way then, and the game itself. Is it profitable? Probably not from what Blizzard infer.

Why are prices so low?? 5 cents a run? No wonder evbody is doing this but me.

  1. Can you pay to win? most definitely. there are sites, players who would provide a service for real money/currency.

  2. Does blizzard indorse this? No, or not as of the moment, accounts involving transactions using 3rd party sites and services have gotten banned

  3. Does in game trading exist? Yes, the most popular way of getting duriel runs is undergoing a rotation where 4 players who have farmed a certain amount of materials undergo rotations. albeit, in game trading is inefficient since blizzard does not want to invest time in creating a standard trading platform

  4. will pay-to-win be successful in blizzard? most definitely! the trend of current gamers now would much rather buy power than work and grind in game for power. creating an ARPG aimed towards hardcore or at least dedicated gamers will not do well on sales and just like how everything works in this world its all about money.

  5. How can we can dedicated gamers take advantage of this? Its safe to assume that most dedicated d4 gamers are better geared towards the upcoming endgame (AOZ) im not yet sure of the possibility of assisting other player in doing runs for for the new glyph and glyph experience for GOLD and Duriel Mats or other items.

There should just be a uber unique Casino built in the wasted land that is labeled “Fields of Hatred”.

“It should have Blackjack and…”

Just stop playing a game of grind when you cant grind.

Hellltide Caches, high NM dungeon boss kills are very easy.

Those who would whine are those lazies and tourists.

These are very doable by Casuals too.

Ebay items and RMAH are things of the past. They were banned already. It wont come back to D4.

And farming Uber Uniques is not required on the game as the game is beatable without them. If you farm for Uber Uniques and got some, how do you plan next seasons?. Farm them again? More power to you.

Why don’t just bring Uber Uniques to the store?

We dont need p2w or ctedit card warriors. Slippery slope with they open that door.

Please don’t Ever play Diablo 2.

Shutup and go grind for 8 hours a day or buy mats , your choice. I would rather buy mats from the online store at times , they nerfed the drop rates for uniques from the other sources , so yeah.

I see a monthly sub fee coming soon… :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
