Ok , lets just bring the mats to run bosses in the online store , really don’t have time to farm mats to farm bosses to farm another boss. A bit of a stretch I know , but hey why not.
Or let the mats drop from everywhere , or let all the items be available to drop from every uber boss and bosses in NMD above say Tier 50.
Also chances for the drops from helltide chests , legion chests , random world chests. Stop pigeon holing us , make the game rewarding for ALL activities.
Not asking for anything special , just looking for ideas for more cool drops.
i think the farm loop is fine for the uber uniques. they just need to make them part of the materials page so they cant be duped or traded. they do need to implement other ways to get 925 gear, t90-100 nmds. but if you want to get uber uniques, make that basically all duriel is good for, it should be difficult to get them. if you dont want to do the farming for the mats thats fine, ubers are not for you then.
I personally don’t think they should be tradable, but I wouldn’t categorize it as p2w either since you can purchase the items with gold earned in game without using your credit card which is generally what p2w refers to. Yes I know people RMT as well, but that’s in any game with player to player trading of goods and it is after all bannable if caught.
Are there people using real money to purchase uber boss mats? Of course 100%. That doesn’t mean Blizzard should just open it up free for all and throw them in the cash shop. They’ve already said they have no intentions of introducing p2w, pay for power, however you want to characterize it.
So technically it’s not RMT because there is no cash. Technically there is no trade of mats because you are just piggybacking in the run, but under the hood you are paying gold / rares
Those are not RMT, just trading. All trading should be removed from the game imo, but the two certainly are not the same.
First thing that really should change however, is all players who want loot at a summoned boss, needs to pay the summon cost. That would solve a lot of issues.
so we currently have a system where it takes some people up to 1000+ runs and ur ideas would easily increase it to 80.000 runs
one of which is achievable the other one is not
creating following issues
ubers nearly unobtainable
less people grinding
players quit faster
trading normal items will be harder (since there is no gold sink for duriel mats alot of
players will accumilate so much gold that they cause everything to go up in value
making it was harder for normal people to buy gear)
making the game more unbalanced (players who are lucky have a major advantage in
pvp and pve)
disencouraging group play
players would get burned out from duriel faster (causing more people to quit) since u
wont even get motivated anymore by random ubers u dont need
forcing players to do even more time gated activities
the uniques should just be able to drop anywhere in the world, having to farm a very easy, somewhat boring mob hundreds of times is just silly. Now i used to think people were dedicating hundreds of hours to farming the materials, until i realized you can buy them for peanuts. When i read someone saying 1600 runs, blah blah blah i was mind blown. But still, having to do that thing 1600 times would be completely mind numbing.
I’ll do you one better TC. Blizzard should just sell us a treasure box conatining Duriel drops with the exact same drop rates. Skipping the mats phase and the fight completely.
