I’ve seen a couple Reddit threads in the last 24 hours on this but does anyone know if Duriel is bugged with his Uber drop rate? I keep seeing people get multiple on a few runs while most have done well over 150 and not gotten a single one.
I get the concept that an Uber unique is meant to be incredibly rare but the odds of it happening to someone several times in a few dozen runs while others get nothing in 10X that many is not consistent at all and makes me think there’s something wrong with it.
It takes forever to get these mats built up and at this point it’s not even worth it.

That is rng. For example… I had a leg at hardcore lvl 50… After dying i restarted at core and does not get this until lvl 90 (many hours later).
If you roll a dice between 1 and 100 and you need a 1 or 2 to get the uber unique there is a good chance that you take maaaaaany rolls to get it. And some other random guy comes and hits it with the first roll. That sucks, but its the definition of rng
I saw a guys youtube video and he had 3 grandfather swords. can’t remember his name but he is a twitch streamer and probably ran the dungeon a couple hundred times.
I don’t have an uber but I do have god slayer, flickerstep, frostburn, fists of fate, mothers embrace, Banished Lord’s Talisman, Penitent Greaves, 100,000 Steps, Azurewrath, Fields of Crimson, Gohr’s Devastating Grips, Hellhammer, Overkill, Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus, The Butcher’s Cleaver, Tuskhelm of Joritz the Mighty
and thats just for season 2 so the unique drop rate is really good but uber I can’t manage to get and man would I like the grandfather, Harlequin Crest, Melted Heart of Selig, Ring of Starless Skies,
It’s not bugged it’s just RNG. The whole “I ran Duriel 300 times and no uber unique” crowd doesn’t understand how statistics work.

Did about 10 runs with 3 others. Got nothing, but one grandfather and 1 shako dropped for others. So you just have to be lucky tho
It sure is a lot of work to collect everything just to fight him and get the banished lord talisman over and over again. Especially when that’s an item that just drops anywhere from any random monster. Overly pissed off about how many times I’ve tried for something different, it’s not even worth the time anymore.

Maybe a platform difference somehow? I’ve gotten 3 in a row on Xbox. Before Reaper of Souls, legendary drops were pretty common on console compared to PC, probably to accommodate for the lack of an auction house, but still more common. Before my second week, I already had Andariel’s visage, most of the immortal king set, and a god roll skorn.
I’m trying for Doombringer, Banished Lord, and of course Harlequin because you can’t go wrong with it for Necro.
Fair enough. At this point I only want them for the sake of having them anyway. I’ve been lucky with drops otherwise. Have 6 uniques equipped on my necro and they are all just about max roll. I melt everything, I just want that damn helm lol
RNG is RNG. Got lucky last night and Duriel dropped both a Shaco and Grandfather of a single kill.

Idk but I’m at 843 runs no Uber I think my game is bugged. There is no way I haven’t gotten one while everyone I’ve gone with has multiple. Something needs to change I understand grind to get but put in place something like if account hasn’t received one in 500 runs you get one then it resets just in case the so rng is wack for you.

This seems unlikely to work, but are those all on the same character? It feels to me that drop rates increase after logging out and going back in. Maybe see if killing him on a different character changes anything? Maybe see if it’s a season thing or not, I haven’t played the season yet, but every single Duriel, Grigoire, and Varshan run has gotten me at least one, though in one of the Duriel runs, though I’ve gotten mostly Godslayer Crowns from him.
843 runs …. Man heck no not even if I got paid to do it.

Dont know how many runs a made for occulus with my sorc ( The Beast in the Ice ) but my char is lvl 100 and no occulus on me so far … come on, im not looking for doombringer.
Same with barb now. Over then 30 Duriel runs no Tuskhelm of Joritz the Mighty but like apprx 10 + Flickersteps.
Aspects - how many times did You get “in row” same stats on same aspects from 1 dungeon or helltide etc ? Im not saying it happens every time but too often for RNG (same amount of % or chance on those aspects).
We ran 2 duriels yesterday (2 person party), I got 2 soulbrands my buddy got a perfect roll Andys and flickerstep. I’m so jelly.

Sadly it’s 2% each time he dies. You wish and hope statistically 2% is 2 out of 100 runs but precents at a moment don’t match that way. They should introduce a pity system at some point and maybe allow other classes to get any Uber. We’re all losing these come February when the new season starts anyways.
No shako or ubers and ran 500 times just dont undestand while people get double drops of ubers lol what am i doing wrong

I feel for you, I really do, unfortunately, that’s how 1% or 2% drop rates work. It is not stackable. Every single time you kill him you have a 1% for 2% chance of 100.
Roll a 100 sided dice 500 times and count how many 1’s you get. There will be people that get 0 and people that get 10.
For instance during my WOW days I wanted a specific mount drop that you cold run every day that had a 1% drop rate. I killed that boss everyday for at least 5 years and not once got that mount. Others I knew got it 1st or second try. I got Ashes of Allar the first week it was out.

Oh no the rng just favors some over others. My rng is randomly inconsistent just boots and helms nothing else I get my other gear from other bosses which will never drop at 925 so my numbers will not improve once you lvl up and cut you off.
