Not sure if the devs even knows how it works. If I’m to guess, I’d say they dont coz if they did, then they would’ve fixed a long time ago. If im not mistaken, this has been going on since season 0.
not going to post the whole process here but to give the devs an idea, it’s done by 2 diff accounts on different difficulty instance and forcing the game to do a mini roll back.

i have no idea about this specific example but from what i’ve read/heard, new methods surface regularly and are patched as well, with activity spikes at the start of every season obviously. kind of boggles the mind that they aren’t able to get a better grip on it, i mean it has to be a fundamentally flawed backend or something for it to be exploited like this over and over?
Again - As reported every single day since release. There are numerous free public methods available, anyone can do them very effectively and fast. Almost all of them still work.
They refuse to patch them or even punish players, so almost everyone is just casually mass duping. And anyone that is scared of bans - can just use the infinite new accounts bug on Steam or ps5.
