The dungeon Endless Gates cannot be completed. I looted the Mage Key, but there is no Mage Door in my map anywhere. I spent 20 minutes looking but it doesn’t exist.

Same thing, as I run around like a fool. I watched a walk through on youtube and the person that picked up the key, was in an area that looks nothing like the nameless corridor I’m in. I also got the key though. Mine is not an outdoor looking area, and there is no portal right there that takes you to the final boss. Endless Gates Diablo 4 Dungeon Walkthrough - YouTube
I did all the things required to finish this dungeon. Collected the animal essense, found the mage key but the mage door isn’t there. Ran around redoing everything thinking I missed it -_-
I’m still looking for the door. Worst dungeon ever! Makes me want to quit this game forever.

Same, have key - no door. Everything is dead, all areas explored but no mage door to take you to next area. Will try resetting dungeon next.
Edit: (Note for devs) After leaving game and coming back, I redid the dungeon. This time before the Animus jar there was a skeleton that dropped a journal, this was not present on my bugged run. The dungeon completed as it should have this time.
In the area you kill the mob to get the key, there will be 3 ports. 2 take you back up, and one take you where you need to go.

Just ran into the same issue, thanks for the solution. Wish they would mark the portal you need to take to move forward.
So I just completed this on a druid alt. The first time I went in, I made the mistake of depositing the animus without clicking the skelly first, spent/wasted a lot of time running in and out of portals. DONT do what I did.
Port in, head to the anima depository-click the skelly and get the journal page. You’ll know if it’s working right if 2 big demons attack you. Then head to the portal on the right side of the dungeon, head in to collect the anima, kill the named, get the anima, return with the same portal [just to keep it clean].
Deposit the anima, head into the next section and take another portal. This time you WILL be in the sand dungeon [another indication that its working correctly]. Get the key-and just keep going North. You will see another portal-click it. Do NOT head to the left and take the portal to the East-that will only send you back to the original halls. Once you get past the door you’re home free, it’s boss killing time.
Newsy notes-you do not need to remove the quest and pick it up again-simply leave the dungeon. The key is getting that journal page before anything is compelted. If you do this [as I did] you shouldn’t have any issues.

Just checking in to say the dungeon is still bugged. I’ve been through every portal 3 time now. No way for me to complete this.
I whent thru all the portholes, killed everything w/ key in tote. Round round round we go. No flippi’ gate or notebook…frustrated is putting it lightly.
Still broke… season 5… grind all endless gate nm dungeons…
