Dual core flurry+RF build

Someone tried that build? With cold imbuement looks really fun and a lot of dmg but idk about endgame etc

Yes, it’s been tried and does well in high tier nightmare dungeons.

I have been building my rouge “duo core” with cold imbue build since level 1. Now I am level 70 farming 31-33 no dungeons with ease. (Have to be higher than 31 for a chance for Uber level drop).

It’s a really fun build I can recommend. Though I did switch to Barrage, I’m thinking about switching back. It’s less annoying than Barrage.

Yeah it really is just a bad version of rapid fire. They just need to make the arrows of barrage that fire in 5 different directions all fire at the same time and rename the skill “multishot”.

I love this build. I’ve tried TB and several others on Eternal and Seasonal and this is my favorite so far. Currently running Flurry/RF/Cold Imbue/Dash/ShadowStep/Puncture and it is super fun and I can easily do NMD 5ish levels above me with mediocre gear.

I am running this build now, at 93, I’m doing NM 50+ for xp with ease. Comparing to TB, I think the aoe damage is better, but the single target is still behind TB even with RF (not 100% sure). I do enjoy the playstyle much more than TB though. Dive in, vuln/daze everybody, RF down remaining elite if they still up. Lots of sustain with momentum aspect and flurry heals, I specced out of siphoning strikes.

My gear is pretty good at this point, I can do NM 15-20 above my level pretty easy, we’ll see about NM 70+ when I hit 100.

I switched to the rapid fire/flurry build around level 22 and I love it. My rogue is 62 now, and it’s very strong and fun to play. Icy veins has a great guide for it and has slightly different versions for leveling and endgame (50+). Highly recommended.

I am loving it, only downside to me is I would love to get poison imbue to go with cold imbue but can’t afford to not have Shadow Step and I consider Poison Trap a must for the knockdown and most importantly the brutal heart that grants a shadow decoy. For me this is by far the best heart, it’s utility and the survivability it gives you is just unparalleled. I will likely end up swapping over to TB when I start pushing content and get the aspect that gives poison pools you stand in to get unlimited poison imbue but for right now I really like this build.

What level are you now? I can’t see myself switching to twisting blades. Everyone I know that has a rogue is playing that - I have a compulsion to do something different. I like the flexibility of dual core and having ranged damage as an option. Sometimes it’s great to pick off skeleton corpse bows without having to chase them down! I’ll probably push the dual core build as far as I can make it go.

I’m only level 50 in wt3 currently. I would probably keep pushing it as well I am just really itching to do some cold/poison stuff since there is synergy there with a couple aspects and they both scale really well. I didn’t love TB early levels so I might switch and be unhappy and go back to dual core using Penitent Greaves for chill and do poison imbuement but I’ll really miss instant chill utility with flurry and RF.

Running the shadow imbue version of this in maxroll. I’m only at level 59. Has anyone tried this and compared it to the cold imbue version? If so, which one do you prefer and why?

I am 9nlevles lower than you and I have tried all imbues and since flurry has aoe built in I felt shadow was the weakest imbue for this build. For me cold brings both utility and tons of extra damage. But if you can get another form of chill like Penitent greaves then use the aspect that causes poison imbue to further chill on crits plus do extra chd damage then poison imbue might work out better since it melts bosses using aspect that creates pools you stand in to get infinite poison imbue spamming. In summary I think shadow is just not needed with flurry aoe and doesn’t give you much extra against bosses like cold does; poison is ok but I missed freezing things it is such great utility but if you have another way to chill poison may be better overall. I didn’t have another source of chill at the time so I felt cold was much, much better overall.

Thanks so much for the insight. I’ll give this a try.

If you swap out an aspect for the one that drops a smoke grenade at the end of dash, the shadow decoy heart will work with dash. Found that out accidentally.

That is GREAT information! Thank you, that makes for some interesting options for sure

I am enjoying the build with Penitent Greaves + Frostburn + Razorplate. Great for AoE and quite decent for single target (no problem with Butcher).
