Dswing barb hitting for over 1.5 - 2m

yeah, Ill try it again if I get a good 0.3, but double mace gives you 20% dmg to stunned so it comes out ahead.

I’ve got a few 800+ maces, but nothing I can justify replacing my swords with yet. I’ve had bad luck with weapons. Might do 1/1 and see.

How much damage vs stunned on your stat screen? Mine is 253% with no maces.

Additive damage is additive… personally I only have 27% versus stunned, but my total Additive (on my stat screen in town), is 514.4%… I also get more when berserking which doesn’t show up in town. More importantly, my Vuln damage is 395.6% and my crit damage is 422%. I stun to guarantee crits (which also builds me fury) more than to boost base damage.

It’s different when you add multipliers to situational additive damage buckets.

So I’m finally there… I’m level 99 (missing 2 paragon points) but my build is pretty much proof of concept for me.

I just finished a T78 NM dungeon zero deaths. It was renegades retreat with physical damage bonus.

Unlike a lot of meta builds… I’m running zero shouts and still using Unconstrained rather than Unbridled rage. I know I hit for over a million regularly, but I’m sure I’m not quite hitting the same top numbers as some of you who use unbridled, however I practically have unlimited fury and max attack speed, so it’s working well for me.

I run Stomp, Steel Grasp, Iron Will, Wrath, Lunging, and Dswing.

I really pushed armor with 10,022 unbuffed and I have a lot of damage reductions on my gear. I really enjoy the build… once I hit 100 hopefully gonna drop Lilith, but I’m not sure I can play perfect long enough to win… We’ll see I suppose.

Double Swing is getting some love from streamers and YouTube guys now. It’s nice to see that most of us do it a little differently. Conceptually, it’s all roughly the same, but I’m seeing some variations in 1-2 aspects, skills, and playstyles.

It’s currently the most balanced Barb build, without exploits or unintended interactions, and that’s what I always go for.

We could still use a bit of a damage boost, lots of things need to be fixed for Barb, but overall, I think we chose the right path.

Yeah. Had to go back to the drawing board for survival.

I swapped out lunge for frenzy with dr and moved a few aspects around for disobedience on ammy. Battle trance can be pretty nuts there as it csn give you sn extra 16% Dr and 20% atk speed on a good roll.

All in all im pretty tanky now and didnt lose that much dmg.

I tried dust devils but its bad. Maybe I dont get how they scale, but they tickled for 160k crits.

I think theres some higher dps variants with double axes for speed or swords, especially with ramadilini, but the CC withs maces + berserk upkeep + dmg to stunned is hard to beat for survival.

The dude that did Dust Devils was using all 3 aspects to stack the flat. Not worth it, and he doesn’t do it anymore, I think.

Frenzy seems mandatory for 90+. You don’t want to be flying around like a madman anyway.

I got a .3 Ramaladni. Low item power and bad damage rolls. Not impressed. I didn’t spec completely for it - only 160 fury.

I think 1 mace and 1 sword might be the way to go with +3 Wallop and/or Concussion on amulet.

You try Lillith yet? I heard a DS guy took 30 mins to kill her. Lol.

I mean ds works with stun. I just dont think its lilith viable (not that you cant kill, but its just suboptimal). The fury refund on stunned targets is a big component but wont work on her, so youre not tapping into the stronger parts of it.

Butcher’s staggers fast. I’m going to try Butcher’s + Penitent (which also staggers fast) to see if it’ll help keep her staggered often.

The HotA 2 min kill used Butcher’s, so I assume it’ll get nerfed immediately. I use it on bosses for quick stagger, and it didn’t stagger a boss yesterday. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s already nerfed. You know…cuz Barb.

Yeah, but were not hitting for 10m+ while shes staggered so its a bit moot.

Maybe if you fully respec your paragon to be 100% dmg, but even then, I dont think it scales that high.

If you can sustain 4M+ hits, it could work. Won’t be 2 mins like bugged HotA, but could work. Murderinc is getting 4M+ on both swings (at times) and calc’d it to be roughly 12M DPS.

Not sure how accurate or sustainable that is. Hopefully one of these new aspects or uniques will give us some power. A bump in base damage and lucky hit % wouldn’t hurt either.

My paragon is essentially all damage except for the Warbringer board. I just hit 100 and need to get a few glyphs to 21, but I’ll be moving things around to see what I can squeeze out of DS for that fight. I want it to work!!

I’m hoping that DS gets a bump in the patch on the 18th along with upheaval. I’m also hoping, though i don’t expect., that they will look at the aspect as well. Let WW have the dust devils and give DS something that is more fitting.

I’m currently playing a mace stun based build which is a lot of fun but it seems that good maces are so much more rare to find than sword. I really hope that one of the uniques we get in S1 is a good 1h mace.

Bosses have an inherent higher DR or something tho. Never got the 3m hits on staggered lilith. Its like some of the modifiers arent going through.

Oh? What would you say is the average hit on her? Do you have any damage to elites? I was thinking about taking the rare node in the Weapon Master board for 32% damage to elites. I think you can get a total of like 80-something combined from 2 or 3 boards.

I have the Hemmorhage legendary node allocated now, but I replaced Revenge with Imbiber. I should swap back and see how they stack with each other. Should be the same multiplier bucket with a total of 20%.

Also thought about trying a bit of Thorns on her, but idk if she hits often enough for that to do anything?

Im full on defensives so I mostly crit in the 2.2m to 2.9 range, but my crits seem like they fall to 1.4-1.9 on staggered bosses.

I wonder if thats just higher dr from them or something doesnt compute behind. They are perma vuln so thats not the issue.

Nah but im.critting on elites the same. Bosses/lilith are wheres its different.

I tried making a a rogue toon and noticed that when I took the physical damage increase node the damage seemed to go up (though it was on the character sheet.)

I wonder if getting a few more of those nodes might help get a higher dswinh crit.
