Region progress shows that for dry steppes areas discovered is 51/51 or 100%. For all other regions, the challenges have unlocked.
This has persisted for many resets of the game and complete restarts of the console. No salvation reached. Need help.

I was able to get the challenge for dry steppes. I used my hardcore character to run through the area again. I do not think the character needs to be hardcore. You just need a character that hasn’t completed the area, run through it, and then the challenge will unlock.

Did you somehow solved it? I have the same problem but with Fractured Peaks. I already unlocked the other 4 wanderer challenge.
Everything completed but I didn’t get Fractured Peaks Wanderer challenge. Now I’m locked out of Estuar Sightseer trophy which means I’m locked out of Platinum.
This is super frustrating.
Still didn’t find any solution. Running around dry steppes like a mindless zombie looking in every corner, but nothing
I am also having this problem, this is the last challenge I am missing for the platinum on ps5 aswell sadly… Ive even used interactive maps to check off every zone needed with no good results 
all the other zones are unlocked and fully done, dry steppes says 51/51 (and i have done these 51 legit like 10 times by now tha past couple days) and stil nothing… I wish there was a refresh/force sync throphies/achievements for clearing this up… idk just something to sort it out… from all my time on google trying to find solutions I cant seem to find one anywhere, even though i see alot of people with the same issues, if not in ds then in other zones.
so if anyone happens to find a fix for this, or they post an update somewhere please do @ me lol this sucks alot.

Just finished running trough al 74 locations in dry steppes. This did still not complete the challenge. Noticed blizz is not even looking into this. So far i havent found any forum post that had a reaction from any blizz personel. Guess they don’t really care?
im guessing its not “game breaking” enough to them to fix it… as especially for me its more of a “get this for the ps5 platinum to unlock” kinda problem instead of something actual game-related ? i sure do hope they add an achievement force sync/reload especially if its caused by me PURCHASING and SUPPORTING THEM with my TWO purchases of the game for “cross platform progression” which seems to not really be an actual thing when it comes to progression.
literally with a force sync button for achievements it would solve the entire cross progression not working, if they dont want to actually fix the issue by having it happening
Yeah that could totally solve it. But unfortunately its blizz 2023 we are talking about and not blizz pre 2008. Guess it will take some time

Not sure how to reply to all, but for all seeking salvation…
I just used a different character to run through the area again. It was my hardcore character; although I do not think that matters. You could probably use an older or new character and run through whatever area you need. Hopefully when you do that, you will get the challenge or achievement.
