Druids basically just got nerfed

So, not only did they nerf the stronger builds, but they didn’t do anything to actually buff the trash pets. What a garbage patch for druids… The already strong Necro pets got a 30%~100% damage increase and all the related paragon damage nodes were doubled…

…and they expect us to actually PAY MONEY FOR A BATTLE PASS???

edit apparently the extremely toxic forum trolls can’t think beyond their own obsession with end game to realize that there are people with real lives that want to enjoy the entire level range and experience… not just the last 5 levels…

Yah this looks to be bringing druids back down to reality instead of constant uptime ultimate and destroy everything while afk

I’m sure the handful of no-lifers will be disappointed…

But the rest of the normal people would like some meaningful buffs to the 70% of skills that are basically worthless to take.

i dont think bulwark (a defensive skill) was ever meant to be a primary damage dealing offensive skill. if that is your main beef, then sorry? there are plenty if other viable druid builds

Nerfed into the dirt? You mean Tornado werewolf got brought down to Earth like the bone spear necro. For every other druid build the loss in crit/vuln damage will be negligible.

The sky is only falling when your favorite build gets brought down to where everything else is apparently, and you can’t break the game with one hand while eating cheetos with the other…

Of course it wasn’t and about every Druid player I know on my clan, including myself, knew it was going to get hit.

The Crit Damage cap does hurt some to Stormclaw Druid but that hurt is likely offset by the Vampiric Auras being so good for the build. As such, for Seasonal, I might do Stormclaw again.

Not going to comment on Tornado or Lightning as we need to see how the minions were rebalanced as well

I bet you didn’t read patch notes, I also bet you didn’t know about the change to Death’s Defense.

They nerfed one overpowered ability in Druid. Whoopee. And it wasn’t even that bad of a nerf.

Yes they did. All pets in the game will have a baseline passive where they can’t take more than 30 percent damage. Plus druids got major buffs to ravens and rabies.

What in the world are you smoking? Minions were so weak that most Necros were sacrificing them in order to do decent damage. The only way you could have a decent minion build in season one was if you were able to get the ring of mendeln.

Oh no Druids the most overpowered class since Launch wont be the most overpowered class anymore and destroy all the content in .000000001 seconds

Woe is me, its truly over.
Diablo 4 is finished, how will the Druid players hope to play the game when they can’t just destroy the very fabric of time and space at the push of a button.

This and also …

The truth is that while I’d love to have a viable Zoo Druid (playing one in D2R right now for HC) the expectation for all “us Druids” should be that until Necromancer minions are figured out that we shouldn’t expect much for the Druid pets when it comes to a central damage feature

Well, hoping my non-meta druid build will survive. Ran a nature’s fury human only build. Hoping the Eartern bulwark changes won’t be crippling. The new amulet with the rotating boulders would be right up my alley!

I ran a Necro minion build all the way to 70 without having to even do much of any killing at all. Their minions are very powerful and don’t even take any damage. Mabe at level 90+ they don’t compete with broken builds, but I’m not some hardcore player. That’s probably why you are screaming about broken endgame builds and I’m talking about the other 95% of the levels normal people will end up playing…

You mean there are people that don’t just roll on over to maxroll for all of their build needs?

So far the only ones that I have been seeing complaining about any of this are those who only live in the meta, faceroll universe. Those builds got brought down to Earth, and they needed it. Surprisingly necros haven’t been complaining as much as druids…but that could be because they completely expected bone spear to get nerfed from planet destroyer status…

Then shut up because you have no idea what you are talking about. Go to the Necro forum and tell them minions were already strong. You’ll be laughed out of the room. Most players who were playing that class to late game sacrificed their minions because the class was actually stronger without them.

More bull. Anyone who has played a minion build will tell you that you are constantly having to keep them up because even with skill points they still took a lot of damage. And we haven’t even mentioned the Golum, which was just beyond worthless and far more valuable being sacrificed for the extra 30 percent crit damage. Just stop already. You clearly don’t know what you are talking about here.

I played a necro all the way to 100 dude. Anyone who actually played that class will tell you how full of it you are and how stupid you look trying to say that minions were already strong. No one that actually mained that class in season one will agree with you. There is a reason why the majority of popular necro builds involved no minions and players were complaining about this fact all during season one.

As these are my main two classes -

I think it somewhat has to do with the fact that so much of Druid is trapped behind Tempest Roar when looking at strong builds. So… nerfing a build that doesn’t need Tempest Roar probably hurts more. I’m personally fine with trying out the new changes =)

Basically this entire post.

Sure, my minions are not trash like wolves are currently; however, they’re more of a vehicle for your build if you don’t sacrifice for them.

As an example with Corpse Explosion:

  • They produce corpses
  • Provide some nominal damage
  • [I’m forgetting something else]

Blood Golem is “okay” and might even be “decent” with the changes announced. Still little hope for Warriors or Mages

So Druid can’t just faceroll all content in the game anymore.

QQ moar.

Lol strong minion necro… with that bug fix “Fixed an issue where Ghastly Bone Prison’s Vulnerable effect could trigger Lucky Hits.” Ring of Mendeln became a almost useless ring which nerf hard minion build, now thanks to bug fix about shadowblight they can build arround it but that it.

i just feel disproportionally hit as landslide grizz, i dont op as much as pulv to get as much of a buff from that, and nothing else hit creeper landslide so feel pushed into that more.

Druid’s have a lot of aspects that increase their damage horizontally (damage off of damage or additional mechanics) so i think they will fair better off than barbs who are just stat sticks and all the damage stats in the game just got obliterated.
