Critical Strikes with Shred deal [20 - 30]% of the damage dealt as Lightning damage to the target and surrounding enemies.

Is this aspect giving me extra lightning damage or its just converting a percentage of the phys damage to lightning?
And do you think its good using it?

I had the same question and after searching, players confirmed that this is extra damage.
