So Ive tried all of them now.
And Im a druid player at heart, but as a hardcore player, I cant play this game as a druid in hardcore mode without a friend standing by at V2.
My other heroes literally are walking through creeps. My druid gets one and two shot by unique bosses, he has to constantly kite around in Wolf From.
Even in Bear form, I got one shot after killing a boss who exploded in flame after he died; it one shot me at full health, that was last night.
My barbarian, cuts through the entire enemy wave no issues.
Necro is so broken OP I can literally sit there and make a cup of coffee and not play while my summons do everything.
Sorcerer and rogue kite naturally and have half the worries of melee heroes; plus got buffs in the recent patch.
You need to give the druid a bit of love.
My advice so far, would be to maybe add attack speed buffs to the base ability in wolf form for each level.
Or maybe give us points in something that would give us a higher percentage of dodge.
Could also maybe add some Hp to us⦠maybe make us able to sustain in combat slightly better when we are trying to facetank a boss in many situations. Some of these bosses swing so much that we dont have the option not to.
I dunno, something should be done either way. Wolf form is the rogue druid, and currently we dont have the escapes and evasions.
Im talking only from Werebear Pulverize build perspective, idk about any other build, (while doing NM wt4 t5-10+ higher than my lvl).
Boss fights are complete joke. They do less dmg than any Elites you find in the dungeon, even regular mobs hit harder. Idk how you can have problems with them really. The only one i cant truly facetank is the Butcher you find randomly, which i had to kite a bit last time i met him.
On the other hand some of the Elites hit f hard, like those fire dudes that explode, or some poison Snakes etc. Those are bad if you dont pay attention, but i guess its true for any class
Thatās great youāve tried all the classes. But⦠Iām guessing you havenāt leveled all of them to 100 or at least 70 and tried end game because that takes a lot of time. Necro is considered the worst right now. Barb and Druid are considered top tier just because they have built in unstoppable mechanics. I havnāt tried the other classes as Iām playing druid. My only complaint is that there seems to be only two builds that are viable right now which are pulverize and storm wolf. Iām playing human form storm tornados and lightning storm and am clearing lvl 25 sigils. I am levelling, lvl 71 right now and havnāt tried anything higher than world tier 4 sigil 25s. But itās working for me. I donāt want to follow a āmetaā build, thatās boring.
I leveled thru campaign (wt2) as storm zoo druid (+1 companions, blood howl crit aspect, +dmg per companion aspect) and i didnāt find any challenge getting thru any content. After i got more legos and aspectsc thru helltides, id say druid is pretty OP. Clearing t17 nightmares at 58 (level 70 enemies) is pretty awesome tbh. Was able to facetank butcher in a t14 dungeon. Idk, maybe you havenāt played enough
Tankiness is definitely something druid doesnāt has issues with. Druids only issues is boss damage with pulverize build or sometimes group kill speeds with stormwolf. Due to nado rng even then that isnāt much of an issue. Their biggest issue past that is build variety. They have a lot of possibilities with few capabilities.
Wolf is squishy because a large portion of their survivability is healing. Its not the most friendly to hardcore until you have the paragon and gear to keep you alive.
Thats a you problem. donāt stand in fire. (I live through the fire explosion as werewolf btw)
Get the 2 aspects 1 that has landslide cast 2 every cast and trample that casts 6 landslides. I can clear just bout everything when i hit bulwark, hurricane, and creep elites go down 3 to 4 landslides.
Im using a Hybrid Pulverize/Trampldeslide build thatās doing decent damage, even aginst 73 elites in T4 at level 60.
Druids biggest issue, imo, is resource generation. You basically HAVE to use your generator at times, no matter how much spirit recovering stuff you take.
We can dewtroy anything normal around our level and even higher. Bosses are much more of a challenge because all our tankiness kinda means squat when enemies can one shot through barriers and heavy DR.
Ie, classes like Barbarian, Sorc, Rogue, etc have an easier time taking down higher level bosses than Druids seem to, but its doable. You really need super skills though or the best gear you can get with optimal spec.
Itās true. I really wanted to play companion build after I got the wolfs as werewolfs aspect. But itās really so underpowered compared to earth bear that I was playing before so after getting to last world tier I had to change back as it got just too difficult. It sucks that you need to have skills like crow which is useless but gives you few companions for the bonus so you kind of get stuck with it. And companions in general deal pretty bad damage. Only vines are decent but still nothing compared to overpowered pulverised and trample damage . And the werewolfs are cool but donāt do all that much in the big fights as they only hit one target and get a bug where they constantly get stuck on the ceiling but blizzard doesnāt care about druid companion build. They just care to nerf overpowered but donāt buff underpowered
I found Stormās Companion at lvl 800. Still playing storm lightning but swapped out tornados for the wolves. Their damage is still pitiful, one step away from nonexistant but they are useful as meat shields and take aggro away. Also the pants provide lots of potions so in NM i can just spam Q from now on lmao.
Ulfhedinn said, āDruids need a little love.ā This isnāt a contest. Omnious, you could have said, āBoth Necros and Druids need some love.ā That would have made sense.
Iāve tried all to varying levels and my minion necro is best so far.
As long I keep minions up (which isnāt too hard - the blood golem is unkillable and with a few corpse generating abilities the others are revivable, nevermind Army of the Dead) then I can kill bosses safer and faster than all the others.
I find Druid with Trample, Blood Howl, Ravens and Lacerate quite hard to kill, but, even if Iām very careful to time the 2 Overpower builders with Lacerate and my Aspect enhanced Pulvarise, it does damage sooooo slowly and bosses and even normal elites take far longer to kill.
I spend a lot of time running in circles waiting for Overpowers to build.
Only my Druid and Necro can manage The butcher if he turns up, though the Necro is quicker even with some minions ignoring TB a lot of the fight.
Sorcerer and Rogue do good damage but are very prone to running out of resources and getting squished.
Barbarian is roughly equally slow as druid, in my opinion, but less tough.
Druid defo needs love, though I think most love needs to go to the newly nerfed Barbarian.
