Not a troll post, seriously what I think after 6 hours of druid. After about 30 mins I want to log out and play something else.
Really wanted to like it but its just, boring/slow/clunky. Every other class is more fun.
i had a rogue as first character and trying now druid…so slow to kill single enemies…i remember taking down bosses in less than 10 sec with my rogue, takes me 5 min with the druid lol
Whem u hit 35 or so if u do the icy veins landslide leveling build i clear fast.
Ubhit 50 is when druids start to shine but u got to get there.
They shune atbend game
Ive had a lot of fun with the Druid leveling this time around with new aspect/resets with Packleader + Bear consumes poison. Played poison shred while leveling in eternal realm up to Tempest Roar Shred. If you dont like it, just move on to another class. I find Druid to be the most engaging class in terms of builds and mechanics (although the Druid hearts are uninspiring). Druid > Barb > Necro > Rogue > Sorc.
Just a case of “to each their own”. Personally i find Barbarians to be sleep inducing.
But yeah part of the Druid’s charm but also downside is that its a buildcrafting heavy class. If that’s not your thing, yeah might not be the best fit.
Roll necro, get that corpse / tendril malignant thing SUPER early and then enjoy EVERY single aspect of diablo 4! Got mine at level 21 and I’m now lvl 40 all in 1 night. It’s crazy addicting and fun, the auto casting is hilarious and makes even the annoying quests and dungeons and everything crazy easy fast and fun. I don’t even have ANY legendaries and at level 21 I was taking on level 35 strongholds all cept last boss! This malignant thing is busted fun and will only ramp once I start gearing and applying aspects.
Imagine how slow the grind was preseason as your first character with no renown, no horse, no Lilith altars, no waypoints, no codex aspects, no materials, no gold…
The power curve from 1-100 was one hell of a ride though.
I did Barb to 100, it was slow until high 30s-40s, but at least it wasn’t boring. Druid is excruciating. I don’t care if the leveling is slow, but slow AND boring? I literally logged out because the game was making me tired.
I am so glad my own feelings since beta #1 are finally being shared. I felt like a madman when everyone kept crying “Oh but Druid gets good later on!” Like, I. Don’t. Care. If I get too bored, to want to quit the game before I get there, why does it matter?!?
I’m definitely noticing this. The first character, the first druid, was an absolute slog. Seasonal druid, the things you mentioned help to an enormous degree. Still slow, to be sure, but not “makes me want to quit every five minutes” slow.
druid heavily dependent on the aspect you acquire, since leveling we just mash up gears together, it’s terrible
I can easily kill level 60+ elites within 3 seconds with my level 57 druid…
I had the same issue until reaching level 50, I was dealing like 3k dps at like level 40, after reaching level 50, I have changed my build and I can’t be touched and also I deal around the same dmg as my eternal ice sorcerer, when it was at level 65-70.
Just wait a bit and try different builds, I have changed my whole build like 3 times until I discovered this build I am currently using.
Don’t google anything, try to figure it out yourself.
Yeah this is my first time playing a druid. I found it super engaging and fun. After I made up a build I really like around level 40, I was smashing thru everything. Probably my favorite class now. Idk if I will ever go back to my rogue.
But everyone likes different things so I hope you find something you like.
druid needs like 20-30 hours to become fun.
basic skills desperately need a 30-40% buff to spirit generated.
I honestly think the poor initial impression is why Druid is the least played class (according to a website the measured achievement completion). Of course that was before Season 1. I’ve seen some poor websites that listed Druid in A/S-Tier for season start.
Listing druid in A/S-Tier didn’t make those websites poor – it was the crappy reasons they listed. One site had the b*lls to say “Druid is not gear dependent” LMAO.
Without the RNG aspects, it’s mostly a pill. Get the one or two aspects that form the foundation of a build – BANG it’s instantly fun now.
Druids and barbs are the worst leveling class. They are super slow to level up with. And Druids are probably the most dependent class on uniques. Without them they aren’t that great. Most other classes don’t really need uniques to function.
But druids start to shine around 60. And then after that they become so much fun! And if you get lucky enough to get tempest roar early you will dominate. With wernado bosses die in seconds.
I’m 52 and I just got the earth unique to drop so pulverize just came online for me.
that and they’re ugly. try finding a female druid ingame.
druids are only bearable to level when you know exactly what you’re doing. storm strike + landslide + creeper. maybe shepherd. then switch to pulv once you have the aoe aspect (now in the season journey). get the basic attack speed aspect asap. there, now the druid is fun.
like i said, spirit generation from basics has to be drastically buffed. which blizzard won’t do.

Should any class need 20-30 hours before it gets fun? If its not fun, why would anyone want to play it? Why would anyone want to buy it and pay for a battle pass, to not enjoy 20-30 hours of gameplay to start having fun.
I’m starting to think its a D4 thing more than a Druid thing. I don’t know, still forcing myself through it more because I feel obligated to play than it actually being fun. 8(
Around 50 when I swapped my leveling build to landslide/poison creeper the druid really came alive! I am absolutely destroying nightmare dungeons with this build and having a blast!!! All I need now to complete the build is 3 aspects and the barber wrathful heart and im golden.
im oly just hit 45 and into wt3, im liking my build enough but - i want to start moving in the direction of the strongest druid build for once i hit 100 to down Lillibeth - which build shines best at 60+ ?
