Druid has some real synergy problems (knockbacks and aoes)

Trample, Cyclone and Boulder all send monsters flying away and a key passive which makes these worse because they can proc randomly.

We have creeper and earth ultimate that stun/root everything preventing grouping of monsters as well as a passive that slows anything poisoned making creeper worse.

Then we have Pulverize, Tornado, Ravens, Hurricane, Rabies, Boulder, and Trample that all benefit from everything being grouped up.

Not sure how exactly to fix all this but a start would be a rework of Boulder. It is by far the worst offender because it can actually ruin event mastery by sending monsters completely off screen. Its also trigger this with a passive which makes it even worse for outdoor content.

I’m sure the Druid director wanted boulder to just be a funny meme spell and that they will immediately replace it by season 1

I have a feeling that they really, really wanted to make a knockback build to some degree. No other class has this special effect/damage application than Druid. I personally think it’s very interesting and possibly fun, but that type of playstyle needs the support of a LOT of map manipulation (pulling, in particular) and knockback passives

i tried the trampleslide build and damage was ok and everything but i couldnt enjoy it, i dont know if i was doing something wrong but trample as you say does a huge knockback on enemies even when rooted, and the landslides that are casted with the trampled earth aspect didnt even hit the enemies because most of them were scattered around because of the knockback and i had to “miss” the trample to hit with the landslides that were the main damage dealers and it didnt work all the time

I really want Boulder to be good. I saw a video on youtube of someone using it in PVP zone and it was called " Druid Boulder Bowling "; it was hilarious to watch.

I’m playing a Trampleslide build right now and I can solo entire events that most people can’t, I think it has much to do with throwing mobs everywhere. They have a real hard time ganging up on me.

You mean besides barbarian?

Thats an aoe thing, not a knockback thing.

The only way to get it to work most of the time is to try and force the ability to miss or get everything stuck in a small room/corner. It is a very powerful build but between the landslide spamming screens and tossing monsters everywhere its not very popular with most other classes.

Same, plus the Butcher’s Cleaver helps keep em off a bit too.

Disagree.

To me it’s flexibility. You can build a druid like a swiss army knife, or incredibly specialized.

That being said not every build is going to be viable end game, but that’s fine. I know there’s builds better than mine, I can’t clear dungeons 30+ level higher than me, but I don’t enjoy playing that build.

I run Trample+Creeper BTW, I think it has great synergy. It’s my “get out of dodge” combo. Trample when I’m being overwhelmed by a horde, and quickly cast Creeper to keep the separation while I build spirit.
