No Cyclone Armor on the skill bar:
Fire Resistance: 21.9%
Cold Resistance: 25.6%
With Cyclone Armor on the skill bar:
Fire Resistance: 21.9%
Cold Resistance: 25.6%
Exact same values. When Cyclone Armor is used passively, these values should either by all boosted by a flat 20%, meaning 41.9% in case of Fire Resistance, or multiplied by 0.2, instead giving (21.9% ^ 0.2 = 4.38%. 21.9% + 4.38% = 26.28%) a total of 26.28%, but the values don’t change at all.
Something’s not right here.

Kind of resurrecting this post, as I do want to confirm if Cyclone Armor is truly Passive in the sense that it doesn’t have to be on the hot bar itself. What you described sounds like that might be the case? After the beta, and playing around with a skill calculator, it would be nice to confirm this as well, as it would great to just put 1 point in Cyclone Amor knowing it’s Passive without needing to assign it on the hot bar.
Were these the same state prior to allocating a skill point in Cyclone Armor?
I am having the same problem. please fix this completely useless skill… even the graphics of it goes away after awhile and you have to replace the skill with another skill and put it back just to see it on yourself.
So I was watching the stats as I casted. It right now is an active skill that only lasts a few seconds, applying a 10% damage reduction to all few secs after casting, whilst also lowering your armor massively. WTH??? Please fix blizz. It’s bad enough that druid doesn’t have many viable builds for WT4 since you nerfed everything to dust other than pulverize. Play it your way? More like play every class 1 way since there’s only 1 build that feels good.
Having the same issue. Cyclone Armor’s tooltip says that it should “grant xx% non-physical damage reduction.” However, this damage reduction is not observed in character stats and there is no player buff to indicate that the passive buff is working. There is a swirling wind around your character. It’s unclear if this is working as intended.
@Blizzard support, can you please confirm if this is a cosmetic issue where the passive ability IS ACTUALLY reducing non-physical damage taken? Or is the passive benefit of this ability worthless in its current state?
Update, I did some testing here. I have the legendary that also causes Cyclone armor to reduce physical damage taken. I let mobs hit me without Cyclone Armor on my bar. Then I applied Cyclone Armor (unmodified for testing) and let them hit me again. The result was the same. It seems the passive benefit of this ability does not work!!!
We can’t have skills that simply don’t do what they say. C’mon Blizz…
Have also tested and confirmed the passive does not work at all and also does not work for party members with the aspect.

It is same for me too, damage reduction only applied for a couple of seconds when you use the active skill knockback. No passive damage reduction is applied. Come on this is reported at beta…
