Druid build questions (pushing) and game play in general

I’m currently spec’d as a poison trampleslide and it’s fun and effective and I have no questions with the build with the exception of spending paragon points. Do i focus on getting my rare nodes purchased then the surrounding “activating” points, then the rare/legendary nodes? Or do i focus on the rare/legendary nodes on each card I want then worry about getting the rares socketed?

Second, how good is the poison shred build? I’ve always loved WW builds, i’m just not getting the drops, but recently lucked into a ilvl796 Waxing and was thinking about the poison shred build (when i get the aspects and supporting gear).

Third, when it comes to pushing nmd which is safer/more effective trampleslide or the ‘full on bear’ pulv build using earth spike?

Fourth, and this is just a dumb question that seems to be frustrating me for some reason, but I’ve been doing helltides, not because i enjoy them, but trying to luck into killing commanders. I also save up the motes in hopes of getting a mystery chest, in hopes of lucking into a TR (lol amirite?), but also, i open “helmet chests”, however, in the last 2 or 3 helltides I’ve done all the chests have been chestplates or gloves. What on earth is up with that?

Anyway, thanks for your time.

I personally find full bear safer (more armor, more distance). But it’ a +/- 5 or 10 delta either way. Not going to make or break your experience.

Glyph levels trump all.

so i’m like 3 boards (4 counting starter) in (i’m only lvl 75) and have 4 glyphs socketed. So i should keep moving to the next glyph, then. Leveling one to 15, then move to the next ect?

Yes, generally that is the conventional wisdom. You’ll notice almost all builds use Exploit gylphs, so that’s a safe one to get maxed out first. The bonus dex to get the bonux affix on that glyph is the real key to unlocking stupid damage level since game is currently built around Vul damage.

But I think Druid is designed so well the consequences of bad decisions is generally not too punishing so you can just enjoy whatever you want to do. This is a good thing! (No luxury of that on Sorc by comparison).

I think true optimal is to focus on priority glyphs to level to 15 in order, then to 21.

I personally find it more fun to just get some power bumps early and level the non exploit glyphs a bit more randomly depending on which one is closer to hitting the level. So looks something like one goes to 10, then next does a fast catch up to 5, etc.

I did notice that, i got exploit to 15, then the next nmd i did, got my undaunted to almost lvl 4. I think some dungeons give better glyph exp than others. I’m more focused on not doing ones with stupid things that chase me around lol

It’s based on NMD level. The higher the level of the NMD, the more glyph exp at the end.

On my reading, lightning shred is better than poison coz you have to rely on poisoning things with yout poison creeper to deal big damage. It’s kinda like a shred trample hybrid too.
