Druid body type, we need option

Dear Diablo Team

Can we have thiner body type as an option for our druids, it’s my favorite class, and I’m the type of person who places a lot of importance on my character’s appearance, i love to be excited of getting or buying new armor skins, weapons skins or other cosmetics, but in this case its just not worth it.
Because of my health issues, the medications I have to take to live, I’m a big person and I really hate it, because it affects every aspect of my life. Video games help me escape my problems and be happy for a while. I don’t want to relive the trauma looking at the character I’m playing, so I can’t play Druid, its my favourite class since diablo 2, cant fully enjoy the game.
Today I wanted to give it a try (again, before i played druid in beta), i got to lvl 20, but when i visited Tul Dulra, and saw all other druid NPCs having model symillar in size to sorcerres or rogue, I just felt my PTSD when in middleshool i was the only one big person and the rest of my classmates ware thin, trauma woked up, and trust me it feels awful.
I’ve been really excited about D4 for years, I’ve waited so long patiently and it was worth it. But now i just can be excited about fiuture of the game, bacuse i dont think i will be there.
This is an absolutely amazing game, the graphics are stunning, the systems are innovative and great, the story is engaging. Only one thing, all of that doesn’t matter when you can’t play who you want - the long-awaited Druid class. I totally understand that you said you would like to recognize different classes just by looking at them, I think the armor aesthetic is enough in this case, many people would appreciate the change. Adding this option would help me and many other players enjoy the game more.

Sending a lots of love to Diablo team.
Best regards
Melidiar

I agree, I get that they wanted the class identy to be tied to their appearance, but the lack of body type options is a major setback to character customization.

Why must every druid be overweight? The female druids in particular are just… there’s no way to make one even remotely attractive. At least the males make it look almost like a strongman body type.

Why must every necromancer be anemic and malnourished?

These two are at the far end of the spectrum for body types and it just makes them stand out. Barbarians are muscly, but not to the point that it looks ridiculous. Rogues and sorcs both have relatively normal body types.

Absolutely agreed - I would love to see all the body and voice types as options for every class! Character creation and appearance are a really big part of games for me as well, and the lack of options is very disappointing.

Most of the druid npcs have regular body types. Likely it was changed so that each class could be easily identifiable by sight. A body type between a rogue and a barbarian seems the most appropriate to me. Don’t expect any chnage like this, as that would require them to redo animations and armour skins to fit the new body types. They wont spend their budget on that kind of thing.

This! Wondering how they got so fat without eating meat?

Does the average player really care about identifying a random player on sight though? If they shapeshift or start throwing tornadoes everywhere it’s druid obviously. They don’t look cool at all as a fatty male or female and the run animations look bad to me which is what I see always. Sorry blizzard but I’m not spending a dime on cash shop items for a Druid unless you slim them down. You just can’t make fat look cool in my eyes, especially at those ridiculous prices

Yep, Not like the giant antlers on their heads isn’t enough of a giveaway

We don’t, no, but Blizz does for some reason. They have cared about it in WoW too. A lot of WoW things have showed up in D4. They borrow far too much from themselves nowadays. It won’t change now.

Have to agree that while I want to play the druid class playing as an obese guy in a bathrobe and wearing an antler hat just has no appeal. Sure wouldn’t want to spend money in the store buying anything for that character model.

Yeah, same, it doesnt metter what they will put in to the shop for druids, it will never look cool, or preety on them, not spending money.

“Overweight”.

Have you never seen a powerlifter? That’s their body type and they’re the strongest people in the world.

who cares? I could care less about the “Overweight, Obese Comments” I just want options. Let people be the big boys if they want but let me have an option to be the skinny person who transforms in a big massive monster when ticked off. I want to be the hulk.

i like the big body type for druids so there is at least one class who steps out, we cant all be slim and thin.

I don’t know. If druid gets that, then every class should also.

The way I interpret lack of it, is the fact that characters you play are lore driven and hence restrictive in customization. Besides, 80% of the time, you are not even in your normal form and cosmetics are cool and make all the difference. But I get it, it doesn’t work for everyone, it’s just that it’s ridiculous to ask just for druid. What if someone wants to play with big woman sorcerer (I don’t mean height) ? Or gnomish barbarian?

What I am trying to say D4 characters are fixated in certain way. Always were and have been, so devs can play around how they portrayed them. End of story (at least they are not locked behind gender options and you can customize their facial appearance.

If you like that hot mess fine, but they shouldn’t make the rest of us be stuck with it. I’m not inspired at all to buy any cosmetics for this class. Like other post said give me options at least instead of some b.s reason like needing to identify randoms on sight or whatever. I don’t need to be a burger bandit just for others to realize I’m a druid

This is not about liking something or not, nor it’s about you, you miss the entire point I wrote and don’t be jerk.

Plus who said anything about buying anything? Cosmetics can be farmed, plenty of cool transmog items around to go or cool looking gear

Druid does not have the powerlifter body type. Powerlifters have muscle and a gut to go with it. Druid just has fat. You can tell by the shape of the arms and back that he is just fat. Nothin healthy about that appearance from any angle, its just “body positive”, which means really, really unhealthy.

How am I a jerk? Explain yourself. Is it because I disagreed with you? In no way shape or form did I come at you aggressively or was I rude. Your resorting to insults and I’m just giving my opinion on a class so who is really the jerk here? Anyway, All of my post was targeted at the class. I even said if your fine with the class then that ok. This ain’t a free to play game and my play style lines up with Druid so I’m not gonna just play something else if I don’t like it ( just in case you felt like saying that crap). I get lore to a point but as im going along leveling up, every npc druid I see is skinny and im like well why the heck am I stuck being fat? If it was all about lore then shouldn’t I see some druid npcs built like my class as well? Lastly I mentioned the cash shop/cosmetics because well…there’s a cash shop lol and blizzard-activision wants money. Devs don’t make games out of the kindness of their heart but if they want me or anyone else who feels the same way to buy those cosmetics I think they should give options that make my druid look cool to me
