Droprate question

heya all,

so i am kind of a casual player i think. but just wondering as i go from tier 1 to tier 4 (no idea if i will make it to 4 lol) - what kind of improvements on droprates are there for mythics etc? is it something like

1% - tier 1
2% - tier 2
3% - tier 3
4% - tier 4

or is it more like

1% - tier 1
10% - tier 2
20% - tier 3
30% - tier 4

these are just made up numbers, so i hope you get the idea. but if the first case is sort of how things work, for me i do not see much a reason to try to rush to tier 4.

When killing tormented bosses you get 1 more unique, meaning if you get 4 in t1 then you get 5 in t2 6 in t3 and 7 in t4. This are also made up numbers but thats the rule +1 unique each torment tier. Likewise you get more items overall but not better drop chances or better quality.

I don’t know any math but i’ve seen people calculating these odds on reddit and here, you would have to look those up.

Torment 3 is honestly the sweet spot for a while, more drops along with better drop rates. Obviously more loot means more chances. I can say I’ve received a decent amount of mythics this season. Mostly from Andy and Duriel but I’ve gotten a handful from the lesser bosses too.

As NecroButcher pointed out though you’ll have to check other places for the numbers. Take it with a grain of salt though as your mileage may vary. Just because people might say ~1 to ~4% won’t mean much if you’re on attempt number 73 and still haven’t seen a mythic.

the droprate of mythics doesnt really change per item, but because more loot drops you have a better chance. so if T4 Duriel drops 5 uniques, each having a chance to be a mythic we will call it 1% each. on T3 he only drops 4 uniques, T2 only 3 and finally on T1 only 2. That is the only droprate difference.

good info all. so it sounds something like

tier 1 - get 1 piece of loot - 1% chance per loot of mythic etc
tier 2 - get 2 piece of loot - still 1% chance on each roll for each item to be mythic etc
tier 3 - get 3 piece of loot - still 1% chance on each roll for each item to be mythic etc
tier 4 - get 4 piece of loot - still 1% chance on each roll for each item to be mythic etc

so it is the same small chance for each item to roll mythic. just more items. if i understand this all sort of.

Don’t need complicated maths, just play T4 only as it will have higher chance to get mythic and max roll unique with extra 1 gear drop. Besides those boss drop summoning material will drop extra in T4.

Drop rates are equal to Vegas progressive slots. Every attempt on the servers are shared pool. Once someone gets a mythic drop, it resets for everyone. I havent wasted my time farming runs because the last 2 seasons i did over 250 runs and saw 0 mythics. Its Blizzard math. 1 + 1 does not = 2.

How you not getting mythics the last 2 seasons as everyone with Stygian stones can get mythic even with solo.?

The only way you not getting mythic in 250 runs this season are you not playing in T4. My only problem with mythics are it took too much space and I don’t believe Blizzard handling of sparks as there were case which some gone missing in S4.

Blizzard hard codes the servers. There are people blacklisted to get barely any or none. I did get 1 random from Beast in Ice but thats it considering i do the round robin for 5 whispers each. Consider yourself lucky. I highly doubt that you are posting from a season account. Seems more like an eternal and i have a ton because of the sparks i got last season from making characters and doing the season runs for the spark at the end. Unless otherwise, i call BS on the amount you currently have for S6.

What is the reason Blizzard blacklist anyone? My 50 mythics this season is statistics, not lucky. Especially I play a class which only use one mythic chest, I got those unwanted mythics as side effect of farming ladder boss for rawhide.

Why I craft mythics when I dont even need them? You never hear about SB only use one mythics?
