Please no … DPS meters will just cause all sorts of problems in a community that is already fracturing. I personally only play SSF, so it wont affect me at all. But the outcry from everyone, on all sides, will be deafening. From the gatekeeper jerk-offs dumping on the casuals, to the casuals crying because some random on the internet made fun of them. It will all be just a big mess.
But the gain is greater than the loss. We would finally be able to verifiably tell if certain mechanics like Lucky Hit were working as intended. If you have a log with numerical data you have a DPS meter (because that’s just a log’s value divided by the time the log was recorded anyway) so while the … less clever wouldn’t figure that out you can’t have any form of logging in the game and not have a functional DPS meter.
The key is to keep it only in the training grounds and nowhere else I think.
