Hi, it’s me again,
Please add a DPS Meter / Log to the Training Grounds - similar to the one we have in Heroes of the Storm.
Please, please, please give us a DPS Meter / Log
and Please, please, please as soon as possible.
Thank you!

id love it in the training grounds as well, but i dont think we will ever see this. especially since people would want it everywhere then, and as far as i know, thats nothing the devs want.
At launch, i asked for the training grounds and people said i’d never get it, that it was a bad idea, etc. I got it. We need a DPS Meter, just like in HOTS. I believe it will happen, and I will keep asking for it every day.
Thanks for boosting my post!
I WILL GET MY WISH
i think i remember that thread actually lol. i think i had the “i dont really need it, but why not” position.
Best of luck to your suggestion tho, i wouldnt mind it at all personally. But you know how people can get here… “omg i got kicked out of a group cause my dps is too low waaah”
But nowhere else right? Like not in the Dark Citadel.
Here’s a video of the training grounds in HOTS - this is sort of what i’m talking about
The secrets of try mode in Heroes of the Storm
scrub to 2:34 - you will see the DPS Meter / Log - this is a Blizzard product.
oh i know that stuff ^^ having played wow for ages im absolutely used to the concept of course ^^
Great idea. Another QoL that I’d love to see is not requiring the jeweler to unsocket.
hmmm i dont mind the need of him actually, i think it was great tho that you can switch stuff on the go
U can replace gems with other gems and it unsockets? it’s a bit of a 3 step process but less annoying than going to get it un-socketed?
How do you do that and can it be done with runes as well?
you literally just place a new gem, or rune onto the item.
you just dont “unsocket” but replace.
yes, put the new desired gem on top of the old one, it replaces it, works with runes
It was funny reading the most recent patch notes and them writing about the fix for the jeweler being in the training room unannounced.
Problem solved, tyvm!
i mean, in the end hes still needed to absolutely unsocket an item, but yea, im not sure if i used that this season at all^^
also you might want to craft new stuff in the training room ^^
I would love to see some sort of logging in the training grounds. It would help with one of my favorite parts of the game (theory-crafting and testing) …
BUT
Please no … DPS meters will just cause all sorts of problems in a community that is already fracturing. I personally only play SSF, so it wont affect me at all. But the outcry from everyone, on all sides, will be deafening. From the gatekeeper jerk-offs dumping on the casuals, to the casuals crying because some random on the internet made fun of them. It will all be just a big mess.
i don’t see why it couldn’t be a functioning market with vendors and craftspeople, why not? would save having to run into Kyo to change an aspect…
@WPMac
That would be different from now how?
We need the DPS meter because I don’t know about you but I can’t mentally meter my dps with 1000 numbers flying at my face, i’m not a machine, also, a DPS meter would take into account attack speed, our brains cannot.
i personally use the options so far to disable damage sources on my screen, depending on what i play. so if its crit, i only want to see crit damage.
A thing we shouldnt forget tho is (while i absolutely am with you that a dps metre in the training grounds could be nice) - is a dps metre in general even needed? i mean, i dont see any content that needs deep analysis on dmg here. Of course im thinking WoW raids here, where its important to see how every raid member performs.
most classes/builds can do 100-120 pits, spiritborns do 150. not really rocket science is what im say there ^^
I don’t know how you couldn’t see it making things worse … Right now people are relegated to dumping on other’s builds. Meters will give them a whole new avenue to pursue. Now not only does “your build suck” but now “your DPS sucks too”. Just because people are already jerks, or to thin-skinned, doesn’t mean they can’t get worse.
You don’t need a DPS meter. You want one because it would be more convenient. If your that invested in your DPS you can do it mathematically outside of the game.
