DPS check Training Dummy

There should be a “training area” for us to check our DPS and see how builds function vs a test dummy. Maybe 2-3 different areas with different types of mobs, regular/elite/boss… put a 1 minute timer and at the end have it give a “DPS” result over that one minute. This would help immensely with small build changes or seeing if gear is truly an upgrade or not

Even Chronicon has this feature so it should be a no brainer. I don’t really see the need personally because I would rather just check my performance by running a dungeon if I were playing the game. No reason not to add it though.

No. DPS meters and checks are the bane of modern gaming, promote toxicity. The younglings should start to play the game and stop staring at meters.

Ps: “tell me you suck at dps without telling me you suck at dps” need not apply

Sorry what? What kind of toxicity?

Lol those things have been in games for almost two decades now.

I made a post very early into this game which was regarding this idea to have a little addition to our inventory where we can monitor character stats such as DPS, largest damage, amount healed, amount dodged, amount blocked, XP/h, etc… You get the gist. It would be useful especially when swapping out certain weapons.

I’m actually in a limbo because I have a weapon which tells me it would do -215 damage, but when I swap to it, I have 56 extra damage, despite it telling me otherwise. I would run tests with both to see how it changes my character. Or if +% to core skills is more worth it than +% to enemies close by.

They can’t create training dummies because then they’d have to test training dummies to make sure all the spells hit correctly and that means they’d have to make all the spells work correctly and then they’d notice that classes are super imbalanced and then they’d realize “oh sh-t, we just gave the community a way to showcase how imbalanced our classes are in a controlled environment AFTER we just spend time fixing spell hitboxes and all this other work.”

But yeah, they should have this in the game.

Yah and so have lots of things. Theres a fallacy here somewhere

Yeah the fallacy is that meters are causing “toxicity” and not horrible people who don’t actually want to play a game with other people.

Horrible people? Play a game with other people? What in the world are you talking about??

You’re already toxic and you’re only just talking about meters being added.

You don’t even understand your own words. Hilarious!

If you didn’t mean that meters are causing the “toxicity” then what exactly did you mean to say?

I truly believe you have a comprehension issue. And not regardingmy original statement.

I think you’re just fuming at the word toxicity and oblivious to the environment it creates.

That being said, just calm down.

Sure pal, I’m the one that’s confused here.

Glad we can agree on that

I wish thier was no evade cd, wish the horse was better, wish thier was a debuff indicator, wish their was skill tree/paragon save, wish for alot but no.

They desperately need this.

Intraclass balance is the only thing that matters imo. As long as each class can complete the content in the game why does interclass balance matter? If they are smart the leaderboards will be based on class. Who cares if a Necro clears faster than a Sorc? Everyone can roll a Necro if they want. This is, as I said, assuming that the Sorc can still reasonably clear all content.

Lost Ark probably had the best Testing Arena.

Set whatever Character Level, Attribute Value, Skills, Skill Level, Power Level. Spawn different Enemy Types and have them be static or attack you.

This lets you try everything in the game and benchmark performance in different situations.

Not quite sure why we do not have a Test Server, even if it is restricted only to Kyovashad and Fractured Peaks. Let players copy characters over, freely assign points, test any Aspect and provide in game tools.

This would allow you to actively see what’s broken… I don’t think developers need that kind of egg on their face.
