The game downloads well until it reaches 69%, after that it doesn’t download anymore. It’s very slow

Just walk away and let it download. Both my systems did this. But eventually it will finish.
My game is also stuck at 69% and it says that it is initializing and not downloading at all. It was downloading at about 15mbs steady and then went to 30kbs. I paused it and restarted to see if it would help. Now all it says is Initializing.
i’m stuck at 1%. It swaps between initializing, waiting, and paused. Never starting to download.
Check your firewall settings, if you are running any 3rd party AVs or anything.
Maybe something is blocking it. Especially HotFluff.
Piggy, pause the download. Then exit the App.
Then, click the start button (Window/Flag Icon) look for the power symbol, choose RESTART.
Once its back up, open the launcher.
If it automatically starts downloading, then let it.
However, if it still fails to complete, the next thing to try, is to exit the app again, (shut down the battlenet app) and while its closed, find the game installation folder. It defaults to Program Files (x86) on your C: drive, under Diablo IV. But some people install it in different places.
Hopefully you are running yours on an SSD, not a HDD.
Anyway, once in here, you could rename the game folder and/or remove it. This will force the app when restarted to want to download a fresh copy, in case there is something borked with your current install.
Disabled my antivirus to test try. Doesn’t seem to help. It is weird. If i restart my entire computer, i can get it to download 1%, and then it pauses with the error. It doesn’t start back up again unless i exit and reopen Battle.net again. So it looks like i have to do it 100 times for 100% lol
Try turning off use browser hardware acceleration in the battenet app settings. Worked for me /shrug.
That also can work sometimes. Or you can set the app to exit when a game is launched. Same thing.
This seems to be working…huh.
It’s very slow, jumping between from “Initiating… please wait” to “Waiting on another update” then “Patching”. Slow is better than nothing.
