I tried quick search of this issue but found no threads…
I noticed that i had more dexterity or willpower if the inserted gem was moved to bottom socket?
This seems to be a bug as the stat was reset to correct value upon character relog in to game,
but appeared again flawed on new gem swap.
Basically on pants, chest and helmet if you drop gem in, it appears first on top socket, add another DIFFERENT gem and first gem is moved to the bottom socket, but the stat given by that first gem doubles - game thinks +1 same gem was added but also correctly counts stat of from added second DIFFERENT gem .
Wrong stat is also counted in related stat tooltip “Item Contribution” value.
I tried this with flawless emerald (30 dex) & flawless sapphire (30 wil), items were legendary pants/helm ~600 ilvl & unique chest 745 ilvl, character was seasonal barbarian L60/5paragon, i noticed it while tinkering with my fresh first unlocked paragon board rare nodes

EDIT: also seems to be bugged on weapon gem slots, moving gem to bottom socket counts as additional gem amount of stats
EDIT: shown flawed stats reset to correct values also after map new area transition
EDIT Oct 15
How is this showing not fixed in upcoming 2.0.3 notes ?
This is significant bug when adjusting paragon board - player adds gems to get to required stat amount for node activation, thinks they did so as wrong amount is reported by game, ports to another game area to fight and the stat has reset to correct lower value with paragon nodes deactivated…
Seems like a very simple fix to the socket system
