So how did Blizzard lose DOTA? Even if it was custom made, they should’ve bought the rights or whatever…
Anyways, they could totally make a MOBA with Diablo 4. Why not? It would become a popular e sport.

Well, that’s the thing, yes, HOTS exists… I’m doubtful they will make a Diablo MOBA when a MOBA already exists. Besides, I don’t think HOTS sucks, but it’s been at least a year since it’s last update. It was doing well and had potential until Blizz backed out on bringing it to the competitive scene and then left it out to dry.
I liked hots. A different take for sure, usually the people who don’t like that they can’t go afk jungle then solo carry are the ones who dislike hots.
Unpopular opinion tho. As a Blizzard and Diablo fanboy. I love HOTS. Still play it with friends on occassion.

Okay but you being a fanboy doesn’t mean it’s a good MOBA, that’s why it can’t reach a mainstream audience hence the point of my post. Diablo 4 is mainstream and they can easily use the popularity to create MOBA inside Diablo.

The same reason you won’t see starcraft 3 or warcraft 4. MOBA’s would fall in the same category the player base is to small there’s no money in it. Activison doesn’t like releasing games tied to just 1 platform. Heck starcraft 3 will more then likely be a reskinned clash royale.
