Someone showed me that when they equip Doombringer and then Spur with their mount, a blue dragon head effect appears in front of their mount. It looks pretty cool. I can’t replicate this effect though. I have Doombringer equipped but I don’t have a cool effect. Is it a bug or am I doing it wrong?

They told you it was Doombringer when actually it’s probably a mount effect. Were they using Invincible? I’m not spending $25 for that mount so I don’t know what it does, but if you have Doombringer equipped and it isn’t doing the same thing as the other guy, Doombringer isn’t doing it.
If it is Doombringer, the only other thing I can imagine is that you have “Low FX” ticked off in your options settings. This reduces the amount of particle effects displayed for you in order to increase performance, it should be ALL particle effects but I suppose it could just be your own and you still see other people’s.
Hmmm, cool mount effect is either from unique weapon OR from a macrotransaction cosmetic… hmm which one is the blizzard way of doing things… hmmm

I’m looking at the clip again, it looks like they are using Brimstone mount from Duriel and the Hellbound barding from the shop.

So check the shop and see if that mount armor comes with a cosmetic effect when you charge.
The effect sounded cool until it came from the shop. F that shop. Shops have no business in a B2P game.

Couldn’t tell ya, I don’t have that mount but there’s nothing in the shop that says it has this effect. I really doubt it’s coming off that sword either. So, hard to say.
I used the same mount and equipped the sword. The only thing I don’t have is his barding which is from the shop. And my graphics are set to ultra. I can’t replicate the blue dragon head thing. I hope someone knows. 
I can confirm that as of 1.2.1, the Hellbound Barding gives the Sindragosa spur fx. I have it too. However it is definitely a bug as it’s meant for the Invincible mount/barding.

mount effects are from mounts, not weapons. i have brimstone and when i sprint a flame wall like bursts in front of its head. pretty cool looking too

What you’re seeing is from the mount and barding.
I purchased the mount.
The mount trophies do not add the effect.
I did have the barding on a different horse and still got the sprint effect. Had a different barding on invincible and got the effect
