If you paid for the early access and had to suffer thru this almost constant downtime and rubber-banding there should be some form of compensation!!!
Agreed. I don’t think they’ll do anything though. All I see are posts about D4 selling quickly and nothing acknowledging those of us who are still having issues with the game. Mine aren’t even NVME related.
I played all weekend starting at Thursday 7pm and never got DC’d once. Smoothest launch in Blizzard history by far.
haha your a joker i gues
Same, it seems to be hit or miss really. I have been able to get in and play constantly when I want to, but I’ve seen videos of people being kicked, and a lot of traffic of people having extended queues.
Might be a regional thing with specific servers getting overloaded.
It’s almost as if the early access had warnings all over the page saying things like “date not guaranteed” “access not guaranteed” “these times are an estimate” “actual uptime may vary” etc
Blizzard hasn’t given any compensation for server issues since like WoD era for WoW. But good luck with that.
I can’t honestly day I had any issues so they don’t need to compensate me.
I guess to do this they’d have to identify who had the issues.
They did say in the small print though that actually availability during early access could be variable.
I did not suffer any of that soooo…
Blizzard, give me money because I suffer when I can’t play video games.
But I didn’t. Only late night on officual release day.
Except that did not happen. There was one instance of Authentication server login issues during Early Access that lasted about 2 hours at most. Those who were in game were fine.
There have been 2 instances of login issues since then after main release, but those were also short duration.
There have not even been queues for the most part.
We don’t pay by the minute so I am not sure what you think anyone should be compensated for, esp when what you state never happened.
No wonder this thread did not get attention when it was posted yesterday.
Tech Support. That is where you want to be. It is unfortunate you are in the small group having issues, but that is not a global game problem.
Had a near flawless launch as well, but I got DCd on Sunday around noon, couldn’t log back into the game. So I played other games and came back an hour later and it worked. There was definitely this issue on the americas server that many were experiencing based on the escalated postings about it here.
The early access launch went off without a near hitch and the actual launch has had some small connection issues during peak hours as is normal for online games. There’s been no connectivity issues that could be large enough to require compensation. If you want to actually pursue this you’d likely have to get lawyers involved and it you did that you’d 100% lose.
Would most of us settle or be okay with MTX store credit?
I know I would settle for 20$ of MTX store credit.
removed the salt
Yeppers PC. It’s been nonstop really. Lots of crashes since the full launch now too.
Just curious, what system?
I’ll assume PC (I have both PS5 & PC). I play PS5 mainly (dog prefers couch) and minus a 1-hour launch issue with validation of license on PSN and the, what, 2-hour authentication issue on Saturday (or Sunday, forgot which) I played pretty well. I think between 9pm MST Thursday and when I went to bed around midnight I played 36 hours =)
