You think they have time to read your super long post? I sure hope they have better things to do.
Everyone did but after S2 they fixed stats so everything was working fine. The dmg on Tuesdays thing was blown out of proportion. Yes, there were lots of stats that shouldn’t be in the game, but it was the Unique design that most people were referring to dmg on Tuesdays. Their aspects were crap.
S6 has better loot than S4/5 but overall S3 was even better. Loot drops had the potential to be good. Imagine that for a sec. Now, every drop is essentially the same crap item no matter the slot that you take to the blacksmith to temper 2 affixes you don’t really care for in the first place.
Plenty people reading long posts. I’m sorry your attention span is so short.
The problem of balancing issue is this game too much rely on numbers. There is always one build has higher number than other build.
This balancing problem never exist in Souls like ARPG game, as the combat is depends how you interact with the enemy. Not like D4 which rely on clicking the enemy and play a mathematics simulation game.
Every multiplier in the game needs to go. ITs all anyone goes for. This would be a true stat squish. We dont need to be doing gazillions of damage. WE need cool things and fun things not just whatever X multiplier you can find. ITs all meaningless because its too good like CD is as is the aim on every build.
Do this then you can actually balance this game and figure out what the heck is going on.
This also solves all the issues on barbs and they and all heroes can go back to having main stat all mean the same amount of damage instead of this current wave the white flag balancing with different heroes main stat being different amounts of damage gained.
I complete agree with this, also find other classes today complete outdated and there is no real options to play diffrent styles becouse of like of multipliers, but i would also be ablet to go out of meta and play some mix beetween diffrent things and choose away some damges but still be ablet to play Tornament IV but today with otherclasses there is like one options to play T4, with all classes but they strungling playing.
Spiritborn is great in many ways even i find it has some bugs, but when i want to play T150 i just swap some gear and make some changes, when i wasnt to play lower things for more fun stuff, i just change some gear and nerf my damges but gaing speed instent but still playabel. Is relly hard to do with other classes.
Spiritborn feels like there is more options to play in diffrent ways and still be ablet to play, other classes feels so nerf for to long there is relly outdated and is no fun to play anymore.
The only classes i still feel is a bit fun is the sorc, but the options there to is very limit.
Urza , I don’t care if there are multipliers or sums, what I really want is parity of being able to put together any mathematically efficient build and being able to have fun, I don’t care if I give 10k or 1T, what you need is just a standard, that’s why I give the idea of leaving a base that can be summative or can be multiplicative but with the concrete base, see today how it works, Viscous shield adds up completely wrong, leaving an infinite multiplier while all other classes are capped in their multipliers by 35% 60%, what’s the point? Barbaro has 4 weapons and a wizard has 2 and there are no builds that work because of nerf and ridiculous passives, the same goes for the rougue, then the Spirit borna has a build with 1 weapon, a much more adaptive and game-breaking passive, while necromancers struggle to exist with a passive that should be absurd, I’m not even going to talk about Druid because the class has been dead for more than 3 seasons, that’s why I said 5k multiplier for paragons and 5k for skills, aspects, that would nerf everything, if removed multipliers just keep a number that all classes could reach, let the damage that counts on the most efficient character so the damage% attribute starts to be relevant so many simple things.
Let’s make it “a lot of totally broken and bugged interactions between gear effects, aspects, paragorn nodes and basic mechanics”
That looks more like it
Yes you are right, while every other class struggles to create 1 viable build to kill bosses, all the time you see a barbarian, rogue, druid, calling for a spirit born to kill Duriel x4 with a boss killer BECAUSE NO ONE KILLS if you don’t get the entire building right, and you don’t get the building right if you don’t kill the boss, that’s stupid.
That only proves how outdated and totaly nerf choose classes has become, Rouge was a crazy killers before in season 1, did Rift 120 easy with that, now is berly doing 90.
Other classes need to look at Spiritborn how easy it is to play so many diffrent ways, with diffrent skills and diffrent gear and still have fun with it Spirtborns only boring build is Oneshot build noting is a challanges.
With the fell soothsayer’s aspect and remove the sun and with tones of Attack Speed. But spirtborn still has some fun builds some dosent do totaly to crazy, and i like how people can choose the way they want to play, Speed or OneShot, or just alot of off meta builds and still works pretty well even if some builds with Spiritborn strugling with Tier 100, but is still fun to play with.
Other classes lack that options.
Great post. Thank you.
I think you are right in that the older classes are outdated. Considering Spiritborn can do Rogue-like things better than Rogues, Summon the spirits of the Animal kingdom better than Druids.
What you propose brings back class distinction but Runes introduce stealing abilities unique to other classes. This blurs the differences between classes as the Spiritborn does.
I don.t really understand how the D4 development team seem to be missing some basic concept understanding. It seems rudderless.
Shhhhhh…the adults are talking.
