I know this has been reported already, quite a bit. But after playing this for the last 40 hours I have noticed a few things that do cause the boulders to stop spawning.
I’ve seen some post indicating Nature’s Fury is to blame but have not been able to replicate this on neither training dummies or random mobs through out Helltides or Nightmare dungeons.
What I noticed that does:

Waller Elites. Without fail, if I do not Petrify and kill immediately (this doesn’t always works as this doesn’t always stun?) when they set up a wall - if any of my boulders hit them while Hurricane is active, they will cease to spawn after I recast Hurricane.

Any “walls” that have a health bar. This does not include terrain. This DOES include walls inside dungeons such as Corpse Gate inside the Earthen Wound dungeon

Suppressors. Originally I wasn’t sure if this was just random CC that happened during the same time. But once my Boulder hits the bubble while Hurricane is active, they will also cease to spawn during the next cast of Hurricane.
Other Bugs:
- Boulders fall off if Hurricane is recast during an active Hurricane
Other Assumptions:
- Incorrect x,y,z coordinates when the Boulder is spawned while Hurricane is active? I didn’t think much of this at first either, but since Season 4 started, I’ve noticed a lot of mobs spawning beneath terrain, or disappearing for a few seconds?. During one Waller Elite interaction, I noticed my Boulder’s were a bit low. Clipping through terrain. The next cast worked fine, but progressively got worse. (2-3 more casts) before they were gone again. Without having any other interactions as mentioned above.
Current Workaround:
- Death
- Relogging
- Teleporting to town and back to content
- Remove Boulder from the action bar and readd it
Hope this gets fixed soon as I was looking forward to playing Bouldercane this season. Really don’t want to swap over to Tornado.
Edited: Added Hurricane recast bug for Boulder’s and clarification on resetting the bug in the middle of content.

there is also a problem with Hurricane - if you renew the skill duration you lose all stacks of Bolder what seems a bit wierd - also have the feeling if you cast more bolder the Hurricane Duration gets way shorter and run out in some sec

False Information
While I agree it sucks to have to recast boulder after each renewal of Hurricane, that is working as intended / how it has always worked.
As far as casting more boulders shortening your Hurricane duration - this is false. Its 8 seconds whether I cast 1 boulder or 10.
Edit: Cant cross out? Hid false information that I was unaware of / misinterpreted.
correct me if iam wrong but normaly you cast Hurricane to inc the duration of the spinning Boulders so they trapped in the Hurricane and only plop off if you failed to manage the duration of Hurricane (checked some Season3 vids of Boulder) maybe they fix it and it was a bug idk … but back to the topic atm its not really playable and mostly you cant reset it via the teleportation in the pit so you stack with the normal Boulder cast … what is more meeh
You’re actually correct, apologies - I was thinking of something completely different as to boulders falling off when Hurricane is reactivated while its still active. Will edit the original post to include this in the list of bugs for Dolmen’s Stone. Feel this was a side effect to what ever they did to nerf the snapshotting Hurricane Boulder build that was on PTR.
As for pit and resetting the bug - just remove Boulder from your action bar and readd it. You can do this in between packs if necessary.
Why im still playing this build I dont know loool. Just hoping they get this patched this season instead of waiting til next.

Yeah even if this build is buggy iam still on it - idk dont like the other ones that much, lets hope Blizz fix it fast
i notice an second bug (not sure whether its a bug) - if you get chilled your boulder also lose the total attack speed amount and spin like in matrix sometimes after chill run out they get the old speed sometimes they still the same
We didnt get enough views. Bug will stay in game until season 6. Why even try with this company.

Hope they fix it soon, invested close to 50M for gear for this build and was pretty broke after that… tping back and forth to at least do some dmg while doing trees for more money to do different build was not fun… i was rly hyped to try this build…
Definitely just swap boulder off your action bar and back on. This works every where except the pit. Ince I reqlized that I saved sooo much time. The pit you still just need to die unfortunately. Hopefully fix soon.
its also hard to run NM Dungeon over 95 since the reset of Boulders, the dmg feels meeh - so blizz go go do something
After a campfire chat close to June 21st, they will announce a major patch coming. Who wants a working build at the start of a season when you have leaderboards out and new end game I cant explore at the moment. Why would a player want to play at the start of a season with a working build? Blizzard is right. Don’t fix it until majority of people have left. That way when its still broken after they fix it, there isn’t anyone left playing to notice it still being broken. Hope this helps.
