Doing very little damage as a druid...?

Pre-season I played a rogue, in s1 I am trying out a druid for the first time. I do so very little damage, it takes forever to kill things and especially bosses. Way, way, way longer than my rogue did. Is this normal for a druid?!

druid is heavily dependant on legendary aspects, and the resource generation is bad in early levels. and yes, it is kinda normal according to devs

Thanks, I’ll just have to carry on with my wet-noodles-for-claws for now then lol

people is trying a lot the new subterran aspect mixed with the spirit boon that reset companion cooldowns, the other option is pulverize+ursine horror+shockwave on early levels, i havent try the first one because im running short on materials to spend

Im a 52 Druid for season and I can agree that the builds are very dependent on Aspects, my struggle seems to be being very low on upgrade materials for gear, and not being able to push content

The only viable build 50+ without the proper gear and aspects is Landslide build and even then you need the aspect to double proc it.

Its the only one that does good enough dmg for decent clear times anyways.

Prior to level 29 I play as shred and kill fast at low level then I feel the pain of killing monster as even normal take time.

I switch to Nature druid and damn for now I kill quickly

  • Storm Strike
  • Landslide
  • Cyclone Armor ( earthbulk earth cast almost every time also )
  • Poison Creeper ( subterranean )
  • Hurricane
  • Cataclysm
  • Nature’s Fury

In pre-season I play Pulverize but it need alot of aspect and paragon point to really shine.

I don’t enjoy landslides small aoe area so I stick with pulverize but running a hyrbrid

Storm Strike
Pulverize - shockwave aspect
Cyclone armor - have aspect that gives melee reduction as well
Poison creeper - Subterranean aspect with double landslide aspect.
Trample - with trample slide aspect 6x pillars
Bulwark - with aspect that gives 6 extra seconds

Also gloves has aspect that makes pulverize an earth skill

Earthen might key passive atm. Ursine strength works well to if you got no lucky hit.

I started late, i wasn’t going to play but my buddy was begging me to run with him. I am only lvl 51.

So true, sure raw damage Landslide win but effective AOE Pulverize win. Landslide is only good as power-up for other skill in this case Trample and poison creeper.

I collect the Ursine horror aspect for codex and I switch landslide for pulverize.

  • Before all other skill other than Landslide was my damage dealer for clearing mobs. In other word I was at the mercy of CD.
  • Now Pulverize was equal to all other skill. Really fun to play.

Yeah druids are rough in the beginning. I tried doing landslide + poison creeper at the start, since you get that aspect from the lvl 1 season journal. I struggled to get to lvl 30.

Then I said screw it, farmed all the pulverize aspects I could get from the dungeons, and those are most of them (slow with earth dmg, making the pulv an earth skill, the basic dr ones, etc…). Now I’m breezing through it on II difficulty. This is coming from a main druid non season, lvl 100. I was so looking forward to doing a landslide build, but just cant get the aspects required for it atm. Most of them you have to loot.

So my recommendation, farm up all the pulv aspects, go full pulv build and profit.

Using the new wolves heart and a human tornado build with the new poison creeper aspect made leveling pretty easy for me honestly. That same build beat the capstone dungeon easily too with the only legendaries used being extra core dmg per companion and basic skills increasing core dmg.
