Hey fellow barbarians.
I have several temperings +% Thorns while fortified. But when fully fortified I don’t see any increase in my thorns stats.
From looking into my damage numbers I see them going up when I become fortified even with undaunted glyph removed. But maybe I missing some other multipliers and Thorns while fortified affix is indeed broken.
Does anyone know for sure if that tempering is working now or not?
The affix does work. The issue is how long do you stay Fortified status? 1 point of damage and Fortified goes away.
I stay fortified forever, it’s very easy, as long as you’re generating more fortify then you take damage it’s maintained just fine. That said, I did try the thorn % and never noticed any difference with it. I stopped using it.
The issue is losing health drops Fortified status so barrier is needed to maintain Fortified status uptime. I put together AFK build that use Andriel’s Visage, Temerity, and Melted Heart. Works great for helltide. Not so much for Pit runs.
I was carefully monitoring that I have it when was checking the thorns number.
But ye, even if it worked without questions, it would be not 100% reliable. That tempering is all over the guides, but you know blizzard, every patch can break something.
You have to build for it. The issue is keeping Fortified uptime. Fortify generation affix doesn’t exist anymore. Thick Skin passive bonus is just too small. Barrier is just an option. Surprisingly, Conceited aspect actually boost thorn damage.
Guys you don’t lose fortify when u take damage. U lose fortify when you freak out and push heal, then u heal over your fortify… Sigh
