No. The fireball skill itself gets a counter on it so you can see your progress to the next triple cast. Killing things with other skills and procing fireball enchants does not increase the counter.
Also gloves of illuminator are terrible. The bounce starts at your feet instead of where you cast it. So it is really slow. But proccing endless rage with it does look amusing. Pity the gloves weakens your damage significantly to the point they are unusable. They are a unique make them buff your damage not nerf it. What were they thinking?
