Does the capstone dungeon count against area totals/achievements?

When I hover my mouse over an area and look at the totals of dungeons I have completed, in one area, it says I have done only 22 out of 23 dungeons. This happens to be the area that contains the “Echo of Hatred” capstone dungeon.

Does that count as one of the 23 or is there an uncompleted dungeon that I am missing?

Im guessing this is the fractured peaks zone

Here’s a list of all of the dungeons in the zone and the codex powers they give, check your codex to see which one you’re missing

I don’t know what region it is since a region name does not pop up when I highlight the area. The dungeon in question is in Nevesk, in the same region as Kyovashad. It is the dungeon where you fight the “Echo of Lilith”

Frankly, I don’t care about the codex powers that much since all the dungeons remaining that tell me their codex powers are for classes I am not playing. Mostly I am wondering if the capstone dungeon counts against that total I see at the top.

echo of hatred does not count toward the dungeon tally. you must be missing one of the 23 actual dungeons in the area.

edit: none of the capstone ones count either.

A dungeon you haven’t done has a small gold box in the corner of the icon. One you’ve done on another character but not on the current character has an orange dot in the corner. One that has been completed on the current character has no other marking.

Occasionally you have to zoom in a little to see if there’s a marking because a different icon will cover all or part of the dungeon icon.

There is also 1 dungeon, maybe more, that is locked behind completion of the story. Kor Valar in fractured peaks is unavailable until after the story, so if OP is still doing the story (or if they skipped it, it might be the same issue as the mount being locked) they wont see it.

Yes and stongholds must be done to see all dungeons, too. I assumed, maybe incorrectly, that he had cleared all that if he’s looking for the last dungeon in the zone.

wow i completely forgot about the few strongholds that unlock dungeons. nice catch.

If you played different classes in a same game mode (i.e. Eternal, Seasonal, Hardcore, Seasonal Hardcore), and one of your characters have already cleared that dungeon and gotten the aspect from it, there will be an orange circle indicator on your other character of the same mode should that character have yet to complete that dungeon.

And no, the capstone dungeons don’t count to the region’s character-based renown.

I’ve been playing Eternal since I started. Just one character. I’ve been looking for the dungeon with the little gold box but still don’t see it. Still, as long as I know it’s not that capstone, that’s enough for me.

I’m long past level 100. Story all done as far as I know. Just trying to complete as much as I can

I guess I just have to keep looking. Thanks all

It could probably be locked behind a Stronghold as what Nymerius said.

Some of these dungeons won’t be available until you’ve conquered them. And most side quest that aren’t started within the dungeon itself usually doesn’t unlock new ones either as most of these side quests have their own instances of dungeons that aren’t counted as dungeons for renown.

your best bet is to look again after the whispers shift. the dungeon you need is probably a tree of whisper reward dungeon and when that is covering the dungeon icon you dont see if it is one you have done or not.

Yeah I don’t know why the whisper dungeons and NMD can’t maintain the other symbols to let us know they are incomplete or are a whisper dungeon. would be nice to choose a NMD knowing it was a Whisper, too. I guess they don’t want us double-dipping for some unknown reason or just dropped the ball there.

No reason not to show a dungeons full status, imo, on the map.
