Does Resource Generation stat not work?

I was having issues getting enough spirit to cast pulverize. Being a sorc in eternal where you can get Mana Regeneration stat on rings etc. I thought “resource generation” for my druid would generate spirit.

Doesn’t seem to do anything though. Am I mistaken (newbie druid) that resource on a druid is NOT related to spirit at all?

It doesn’t mean you will get spirit passively, rather it increases the spirit you gain from your generators. However it’s not a good stat and you would rather prefer spirit cost reduction.

thank you. WIsh I had noticed it wasn’t passively generating spirit before I spent a fortune getting that roll on a couple items. ugh

It’s okay. Depending on what you play…

If you have a build still using a generator, 20% will get you an extra 2.6 per generator, putting you at 15.6 for the 13 gens.

At 15.6, it’ll be 2 generator for a 30 cost skill, or 6.4 generrators to get to 100 compared to 7.7 normally.

That means for 4 casts of a 30 cost skill, you save 1 generator compared to having 0 generation.

Comparatively, it takes 25% cost reduction to get the same cast per generator as 20% generator increase.

Since spirit generator affix is 70% higher than spirit reduction, it is easier to get the total you need to reduce your total generator casts.

That being said, that’s entirely dependent on you using generators directly and not relying on other things, which is why it falls short (i.e., spirit reduction works better with earthen might, resource restoration, etc)

SO you’re not that screwed lol

Resource generation seems to also work on all other sources of spirit gain, like umbral aspect
