Does nobody else repeat the campaign?

I made a seasonal character and am choosing not to skip the campaign. I always do this with new character. I do this because I enjoy story and rpg aspects of it and my character and not just pure grinding. I hardly notice anyone around me even in the fractured peaks.

This game is still an rpg albeit an arpg but it seems to me nobody else cares to immerse their character in the story and the lore but would rather skip everything after doing it once to mindlessly grind dungeons. Does anyone out there share a similar mindset to me?

I think that it’s because you get the new quest in adventure mode. Not sure how it works with campaign

The new quest definitely should be available from the start in campaign too.
I did skip campaign, to see how it goes, but yeah, if campaign is a viable choice, it is something I would generally prefer.

Speaking of which, campaign replay should be a viable endgame activity too. Like replaying it on increasing difficulty tiers. NM100 campaign? :hugs:

The mediocre campaign isn’t worth doing more than once. Pretty sure people in some other popular arpg would be happy to skip campaign

Why not? Has some really cool bosses.

And after completing it once, you ought to be able to do all six acts in any order, not just the first three.

I rather enjoyed the story in the end and would not mid playing through it (or the parts of it I liked) more.

But then when I play D3 I usually start a new character and play through the whole story every time because it’s fun, even though most people just immediately go into adventure mode and grind, grind, grind lol.

The problem D4 has that will be hardest to repair I think is that really the Open World was not necessarily a good design choice. In D3 etc. you have this linear progression in both story and environment which I think maintains interest, and in D4 you have this huge world of, well, basically dirt, that you spend all your time in from the beginning.

Sometimes “player choice” isn’t really something that is a positive IMO.

I wish there was a way to repeat the campaign and still do the new content right away. If you make the choice to skip the campaign you can’t go back and do it later. I think they need to change that.

Other than Andy? Duriel goes down like some scrub worthless elite. Not worth it

This was the only Diablo game where I didn’t play through the campaign at least once with every class. I did it once and I don’t want to play through a campaign that consisted of a bunch of mmo fetch quests. You spend more time running than anything else. The few cool moments aren’t worth it for me.

“Finally, we have the magic dingus that will let us defeat the prime evil!”

“HUZZAH!”

“I dropped it.”

“What?”

“It Broke. Now we will have to spend two entire acts collecting many divers reagents to effect repairs on it before we can continue.”

Everyone in the campaign was a baffoon stumbling around, even my own character. Only Lilith knew what she was doing.

Considering the campaign is one of the few things that D4 did well, that doesn’t say much about the rest of the game…

I’m playing the campaign again. I like to hear the other classes’ voice acting and the best bosses are in the campaign.

Running a new campaign on eternal for the achievements, but only because it’s a good char and I didn’t want to start over.

But next Season I’ll probably do campaign with a new class and this way do the achievements and eventually get to Season 2 content as well.

It’s not horrible or something just forgettable. Nothing you do through the campaign you’ll ever talk about to a friend unlike many story driven rpg games and I can go really far back.

Also not skipping campaign because I only reached… Act… 4? In eternal. Beat Elias, so I guess 3 or 4. And even if I did complete it, I’d play it again ^^

I thought you cant get any season rewards for doing the campaign? If they were allowing it i would of done that

You can you just have to finish it first.

Same here

I played the campaign once this far in regular mode.
This is the perfect opportunity to do it again, i will slide into the new season quest/story when the main quest chain is finished.

Yes i agree, also did it numerous times with Diablo II.
I am used to it and i enjoy it allot.

I’m probably going to play it again. Even a mediocre story is far more interesting than mindless grinding.
