Does Hydras attacks proc Lucky Hit, Chill from Frost Bolt Enchantment or free Frozen Orb from Frozen Orb Enchantment?

Hydra can lucky hit, but the base value is under 3%. In my experience, this base value is low enough such that you need around 80%-100% lucky hit chance to see any regularity in procs from this skill.

The chill from frost bolt is applied via any direct dmg, so yes, hydra procs the enchant. The cast of hydra can proc the frozen orb enchant, but hydra attacks do not.

Thank you. Thats what i was expecting, Chill application but not much else. It would have been too op to get free Orbs like that.

For consideration, the serpentine aspect [2hydra] plays decently well with the frozen orb enchant. Every pull is prebuffed with 2 casts of hydra, so the orb proc, if fired, usually hits the group as you engage.

Indeed, I use hydra in my build with frozen orb enchantment as well, I like it very much.

If not built for high frost nova uptime, I like this combo too; use it on every build besides shards centric.

It’s going to apply chill but don’t expect it to freeze enemies

If you add the Icefall board extra chill and the frost bolt chill and start with blizzard it seems to work pretty well.
Also, if you use frost nova enchantment with your conjuration skills, especially lightning spear, it’s fun to see things explode in a frost nova all over the screen. I’d suggest getting your LH to about 55% then add the aspect that gives it another bonus when you have a barrier.

But that’s a lot of paragon and skill points just to get more chill, a strong Hydra doesn’t even need cc to kill enemies, Ice blades skill+enchantment and hard cast Frost nova should be enough in my experience. Frozen orb enchantment works well but it’s 1 more damaging aspect you lose. At least you don’t need to invest in Lucky hit, that would lower your damage.
