Does anyone actually switch weapons with a barbarian?

I got to level 25 on the closed beta and played some more yesterday. Once i figured out how to assign weapons to skills i went 2handed axe the rest of the game.

I used rend and ww as i was leveling up, but once i got a legendary axe that gave me bonus 40% weapon damage i dropped rend and just did WW.

With the limited number of skills you can assign the task bar…i just dont see using multiple weapons?

I know there is that bonus you can get from dungeon for switching weapons 10 times…but i still don’t see the point…plus it slows your mastery?

If you get legendaries with certain powers, i believe those powers (if they relate to an attack) only apply if you use that weapon for that attack (i might be wrong).

Also, each attack can have a different effect depending on the weapon used.

If you have a fury generator you might want to use the 2 1h weapons for fast attack speed.
If you’ve got a bleed you might wanna use your 2h sword/axe, and if you have an aoe/stun you might want to use a hammer.

It all depends on how the dmg applies to the ability and what benefits each weapon type give.
There’s more to it when you do the barb quest, which isn’t available in beta.

I guess so, but it still seems like your taking away from your weapon expertise by doing that.

I mean i guess i could have used my 2 handed warhammer for deathblow, but i figured the bonus damage and crit % from my level 9 or 10 2 handed axe expertise would outyield that.

Item bonuses to skills will be big in D4 it seems. The bonus 40% WW damage made a huge difference.
