Example:
Bludgeoning weapon gives +37% basic skill damage. However, my basic skill is frenzy and I use the dual wield slashing for my frenzy skill. So will the bonus skill damage attached to the bludgeoning weapon still assist my basic skill? Or does it only apply if I am using that skill with that weapon. Thanks
It will apply. The weapons you are not using still apply all stats to your character globally. I use my dual wield weapons to apply Damage to Close but only use 2 hand bludgeoning for my actual attack skills.
Aside from the weapon dps, thats only used frrom the weapon you arre using the skill with.
So something like ā+core skill damageā on a weapon I dont use for my core skill is actually applied?
Yes, just not the dps from the weapon itself. All +stats, +skills, +damage, etc apply.
Does this also apply to the weapon type bonuses? So for example when using HoTA which is a bludgeoning ability will it still gain the +Damage to Healthy enemies from my 2-Hand Axe? Or if using a 2-Hand Sword the +Critical Damage?
Yes. All bonuses from all weapons apply to any attack, regardless of the weapon being used. The only thing that doesnāt apply is flat damage (DPS) on the unused weapons. Hence āstat sticksā.
Perfect. Thanks for clarifying that for me.
Each weapon type has a thing it is good for listed just under the dps, like daggers have a bonus for close combat. I am not sure if that is counted since it is above the line that lists the random attributes a weapon can have which are shared.
Anyone know?
I believe the implicits count as well, but idk for sure. Easy way to test is to grab a 2h sword (they have crit implicit) and see if it adds.
