Do you save any items between seasons?

I haven’t been on in awhile, and so I came back with a huge inventory problem that I’ve neglected and ended up forgetting about.

Is there anything worth saving as items migrate from Season to Non-season?

Never play my eternal characters seems like a waste of time to me unfortunately.

That’s what I was thinking. Plus, it seems like a lot of items have become “Legacy” and had their iLvl drop to 540.

I horde mythic, bugged items and consumables. Sadly i need to start salavging mythics. Out of room and i dont think I need 3 stash tabs of them

Sadly, they end up making changes for the next season that make alot of items mediocre once they hit Eternal. This effectively ruins the eternal gameplay experience for most. This is done intentionally as seasonal is where they make the most money.

So I’m probably safe to salvage just about everything. Maybe I’ll hold onto socketables and 3 or 4GA items, just for a keepsake.

EDIT: what about boss summoning mats? I know they’re changing the boss loot design.

200–300 duriel mats perhaps, while the mythic is becoming like plastic bottles in the garbage bin, gotta incinerate them.

I try save all 2 gas and up and GA uniques as I don’t know what s8 drop rates will look like. Thinking of trying out random builds on eternal for s8

I like collecting the transmogs in the game, so I do things like save all my runes (each rune up to 100 only though), so that if a new mythic with a transmog ever gets added, I can just craft it on eternal and salvage it right away for the transmog. I keep other items that have unique appearances, but their transmogs can’t be acquired (lots of blue-tier items have unique appearances), in case one day those appearances are obtainable.

And then other than that, I keep the easter-egg items like the cow level items, lucky coin, ring of misfortune etc. Think I’ve also got some leftover boss materials and undercity tributes saved on eternal as well.

I do because I still play eternal. Stash space is becoming a massive issue. Runes take up one, boss materials take another, and armory is tsking a third and soon a fourth.

Going to have to break anything that’s not at least a 2 GA unique after this season. Probably going to break all mythic uniques that aren’t in armory too. Have enough runes and sparks to create whatever I need for a build.

I used to do that but there is not much to do in the Eternal Realm anyway since we’ve completed everything during the Season anyway. These days I just “select all & delete” all those items.

Although going forward I might not even have to do that since the future season looks terrible with nothing new, the same old snooze fest so I probably won’t play at all and then there is no useless loot to sort either

I still use a legacy axials in eternal as it has the best stats. Same w/ shako.

In order to keep my Eternal stash free, I never put any of my previous season items in my stash. My seasonal character will mule all the items I want to keep from that season. I’ll salvage the items that my character doesn’t have the inventory space to store them. This way it’s easy to determine which items came from which season as well as keeping my Eternal stash mostly empty.

I save what was equipped to my char and salvage the rest

This may be what I start doing.

We can probably go ahead and sell boss matts too, right? Since they are implementing keys instead.

I save boss mats, mythic and Unique items, runes and a few very good rolled items for each class. I use my seasonal character as mules. No more than one per class. Once I find a better item, i salvage the other. I don’t think I’ll ever play Eternal, but you never know. :person_shrugging:

I don’t play non-seasonal at all so no. I just delete all my characters at the start of the season.

If you play on eternal then yes, Mythics, currency, other well rolled GA stuff.

If you NEVER play on Eternal, then don’t even sweat it.

I did not play the ptr so I could be wrong but I believe the mats themselfs aren’t changing just where we use them is changing

Depends if you’ll ever use eternal.
