Anyone here do RPing (Roleplaying) in Diablo?
I havent in previous games but thought itd be interesting to try for this one.
(Like Dunegons and Dragons style, talking “in character”)

I don’t mind making choices that are in line with my character or what I think they would have chosen, but I’ve never done the level of RP that involves acting like your character.

Not like in a “serious” context, no. I’ve RP’d for many years across several MMOs such as World of Warcraft, Warhammer Online, Guild Wars 2, ect. Never on an ARPG, though!

I never have, because I’ve always played solo or just with friends (who no longer play).

As I was raised on D&D, I would love to.

The closest I come to RP’ing is I theme my characters.
If they are a druid I get them a tree branch as a staff and animal skins for armor. If their are trinkets/charms or such things that alter spells or add FX that are nature themed I get those even if they are not OP.
I loved BfA simply because of all the HoA powers that occasionally shot out a nature spell for my shaman/mage or an animal for my hunter. Little thematic things like that make gaming more fun for me personally.
All that being said, I have a lot of respect for people that do RP simply because you have to put yourself out there. It just isn’t for me. You do you.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that my characters are also themed around choices and decisions that they would make. So if they are a druid they are more about healing and balance than choosing to destroy.

I dress up as a Paladin I go in my Fantasy Battle jacket what tells the story of my bands I follow in patches before I became Housebound to Power And Symptoms Metal gigs as well as a LARP weapon what I get signed by bands for my wall.
I probably started it here in 2013 there seems to be more fun weapons at festivals now.
Yeah me either! I’ve done RPing in other games but not this series.
Any tips/tricks from your experience? I’m starting up a RPing Clan because it seems to be an untapped niche and I think it’d be fun considering how much D4 seems to be leaning into ‘play your fantasy’
its funny, I tend to (almost) always make my characters look like me haha so I guess In a way I’ve always done a form of it.

Been looking to find somebody or a group to strike up some RP with. Just gotta make out a character sheet for my character that way i can get at least her background and motivations figured out.
