I’m a bit of a packrat, and it’s gotten me into a situation where I’m holding onto a lot of it of extra pieces of gear in the off-chance that I actually try another build. But then I realize how expensive (I know “expensive” is relative, but I don’t get much time to play in a way that rakes in the gold) to enchant and modify my current build, that I almost lose interest in the idea of getting another build going. Any of you ever find yourself in the same boat?
I always only focus on one class and one build. This season I managed to get it optimized and where I wanted already! Now I’m working on a second character. Same class but different build. Why a new character? I don’t want to respec, change gear/affixes on my original one and with the new one I feel I can experiment more and “grow” into a new final build for that one.
Oh, getting gold is very easy. All you need to do is whispers, they pay millions of gold on WT4. Especially easy & even faster if you are doing do season event whispers. They are quick and fill up the meter (for turn in) fast.
That has been my main source of gold, but it doesn’t stretch far when you quickly get into the millions of gold per reroll lol. Ya find the perfect item with 1 stat that’s “off” - no big deal, you can reroll that - but the stat you need NEVER rolls. Not even a bad one lol.
I try to stick with 1 class per season. Then i make a couple different builds. Not enough stash space with aspects in the vault etc
It really depend on the Season. I’m still on my Season 3 character only because my friends are more active now. Once they dropped off, it’ll be back to Eternal Realm for me. I’m in the process of putting together a Charge build. As well as looking for affix for a Basic skill build.
Im hoarder for future proofing best i can.
I keep multiple max roll aspects for different builds + yellow gear eith different stats.
If im forced to switch build then i got things ready to go.
Most of it is laser focused on hota though.
Stash + mule and i only have barb class
the lunar thing starts today. good time to make an alt. another barb maybe? i dunno if i have stash space to share with all different aspects and gear. ppl complain that everyone plays X class, but with no armory or enough stash space its hard to fit multiple classes in with all the luggage they bring.
I do one class and even try some builds with skills I think I wont like. A lot of times I am very surprised.
Lower levels I’ll usually play around with where I want to go until I discover what I enjoy most, but I generally stick to the rule of one class+build per season for the endgame and delete anything else seasonal.
Season’s are pretty long so plenty of time to fully figure out what I want to invest into long-term.
I dont see how ppl can juggle like 3 or 4 classes at once. im trying to make a simiplifed all unique build in thornes. so far I got 7 uniques. think without gimping anything I can do it, lol. right now I got tuskhelm, rage chest, paingoers, tasset burning waste pants, flicketstep, doombringer and selig. Imagine all the space you could save with unique build sets.
I normally do 1 character, 1 build per season as my luck is garbage trash, and I am lucky to complete one build a season.
But this season I started as Druid, went with my own Rabies build. It made it to lvl 71 and I stopped. I am just so tired of Druid feeling like the devs have zero vision for it.
I swapped to barbarian (My first time in D4) and I’m loving it. I don’t even care that it’s a face roll. I’ve spent so much time playing classes/builds that get absolutely wrekt that I feel like I’m getting revenge at this point.
Yea, i whine and moan until leapquake comes online then i play that.
the thornes guy turned out really good. he can kill duriel most times before the first phase. if not, then 2 seconds into the second one, lol. you can almost do all uniques, so it’s pretty easy to replicate. just takes a couple ubers. lol
I did 3 Barbs last season. Barely doing 1 this time. Running Duriels is wack, especially if you don’t make a HotA to expedite the runs.
season 3 thornes barb is a lot better than frenzy guy from last season. thorns proccing paingoers and the new 80x basic ring are gonzo. you’re like a weed wacker out there lol. duriel can go down in 3 seconds if you have the right element damage up.
I only play barb and so far, my personal theme is focusing on one non-core skill build. Working out decently so far.
Yes, Im boring. haha
