Can he/she just reconnect and all be fine or will it fail and you have to start from start ?
I seen 2-3 hours game time so it would be very annoying if it restarts 2 hours in o.O

Sadly they didn’t really mention this at all during the live stream even in the Q&A. Was more or less glossed over with no real specifics. I would assume your partner might be removed momentarily from the dungeon itself, but upon grouping back up with you (assuming they get automatically removed from the party) they should be able to teleport directly to you.
That’s my best guess anyway.
2-3 hours? You mean, it takes 2-3 hours for one citadel run

This is my take also, if it’s going to take that long to do I want more then some ugly cosmetics for doing it. They always stingy with rewards starting a new event.
They wouldn’t dare make something like that… That long. …would they?! 
They never said what would happen in this case although they did indicate in a 4 player group that if anyone was to dc it could still be completed with min 2 players. although it would be much harder.
