I’ve been having this problem with goblins instantly despawning after attacking them, about 1/3 have done this.
Idk if it’s relevant but the butcher has even despawned once too.

I have a problem with never having goblins spawn at all. Although I think given both options, I’d rather not see them vs see them and have them instantly go “poof”
If you’re using dismount attack on goblins, yes they will disappear, there is some sort of bug, that blizz has yet to fix, because they are too busy panic nerfing.
as for butcher, no clue.

They are probably ver similar.
The goblin is supposed to be chased after. If you mount up - it will vanish.
Butcher will vanish if you go out of his reach (up a ladder), or im assuming if the game feels like you are cheesing him or he can’t hit you for ‘x’ amount of time.
For me it happened differently l I was on a horse and then I after dismounting he disappeared 2 times .

Happened to me once, on day 2 of early access. Hasn’t happened since. I figured it was a bug and they fixed it. Although, treasure goblins are pretty rare. Came across a lot that first week, only 1 since.
Never seen one disaapear that wasn’t already portaling out time i reached him. My only problem is i don’t check the minimap often enough and usually by the time I’ve seen them they done been running from me for 10-15 seconds and catch their portal before i reach them. Got about 6 this week so far just by paying closer attention to the minimap. 2 uniques and a handful of sacreds (2 or 3 useable for extracts)
I went into a mini dungeon and all 3 instantly dissappear even tho i did a aoe that would stun them.
Sidenote they rarely drop high rarity most been blue or common
I had this happen once, I had just killed a goblin and saw another on the map and ran over to it but after one attack it just instantly opened a portal and left, and I mean instantly no channeling or running.
I killed three treasure goblins and they all dropped garbage haha
Well it isn’t just me then they always disappear the second I get off my horse I don’t know why the idiots even bother putting them on the screen
It happened to me a couple of times. They went immune with grayed out health bar and poofed.

Same, I’ve had a few vanish for no reason while not on horseback. Not sure what caused it either. As for the Butcher, I’ve had him disappear after I kited him to different areas from which he spawned. I’d try and take him to an area better suited to fight him but he disappears while on screen.
