Do rogue and sorc not have resource generators?

I was looking at my rogue abilities and noticed that the basic abilities don’t say that they generate resource. I took a look at the basics of every other class and for barb, necro and druid the basics all say generate x amount of resource but rogue and sorc don’t.

I did some very basic testing and I honestly feel like my basics aren’t doing anything other than making me think I’m doing something while my resource just regenerates at some set speed.

Not sure how sorcs feel about this.

A rogue will get most of the energy through the basic skills, Umbral inscription, and Inner Sight.

frost bolt and fire bolt have upgrades that will get you 4 and 2 (respectively) mana per hit if enemy is frozen/chilled or burning. So yeah, basically they aren’t resource generators. Possibly that gets offset by doing more damage? I haven’t played all the classes but I for the little bit I played necro their basic skills did next to no damage. Whereas the sorc basic can actually kill stuff.

Pretty sure both classes don’t have resource issues, it’s just not as intuitive as Barb or Druid though

Sorc has Firebolt and Frost bolt, both generating, but under condition. Sorc is not about retroactive generation of resource, it’s rather a “precondition”, get crackling energy buffs, get killing burning enemy returns mana, get firewall increases mana regen, e.t.c.

Same/Similar with Rogue, get LH to get Energy but more importantly, get energy regen while moving… Actually there is one “Invigorating Strikes” that increase Energy regen, but kinda prefer Blade shift for the Sustain tbh

Don’t think those two have resource management issues, it’s just that, again - it’s not as intuitive as ppl would expect to… That’s why both of them start the fight with full resource and regen the resource out of combat also

Yes, basic skills can be decent in combat for these two, so no need to just use them specifically just for Resource generation (Druid is the biggest outlier for this particular issue, like the generator is totally negligible and the Core skills hit like a truck lol)
