Do resplendent sparks transfer from the season to eternal, or does it make sense to buy the boxes and bank them (and then the boxes presumably transfer)?
Everything transfers to Eternal, except for seasonal features (S7 Witchcraft Powers and Occult Gems will not transfer).
My 196 resplendent sparks in eternal suggests to me that they do indeed transfer.
Impressive collection. When my stack reaches a 100, I will use them all to gamble for 3 or 4 GA Mythic. But I don’t want a crappy one, only good stuff Mythic.
Still have to play a few more seasons before I get there.
I would use them to gamble but I don’t play eternal much. The only time I really play is when I’m curious about how a build would feel after being nerfed.
It would be a good place to theory craft though, with enough mats and gear for dozens of builds.
I still like to play with my old builds from time to time in Eternal. I usually do that when I am done with the season and don’t want to start a new alt. Usually happens around mid-season patch.
I still have all the builds I created since the game was released but until recently would only do one per season. I will be doing 3 this season, plus some variations thanks to the Armory. I will be reaching soon the 14 characters limit and will have to make choices.
All my senses are telling me that I want to be an eternal player, I don’t want to start over necessarily just for no reason other than season’s up.
Thing is, this being live service, nothing you do in eternal lasts long enough for it to matter. I’ve switched to playing seasonally not because I’m so enchanted with the seasonal idea, but because even if I play eternal whatever I do there is just gonna get legacy’d in a couple months anyway so why not enjoy the very limited seasonal theme and win cosmetics I’ll never wear and other stuff like that.
At least it’s something. Playing eternal you’re just hoping what you do lasts so that when you get bored it will still be there when you log in a few months later, just, in my experience it has not done that for me, like, at all.
So I need to be okay with constant fresh characters or I can’t play this game. I chose the first option and am still here, it isn’t ideal but it is what it is.
I started as an Eternal player but the seasonal resets even for Eternal Characters made me moved to Seasonal. In S5, I went back playing a bit in Eternal, updated a couple of my old builds. Last season, I took the time to update them all (don’t have that many). When many players are done with the season and move to a different game, I tend to stick to D4 and start playing mostly in Eternal. I play enough to be able to do both. If I had to choose due to lack of time, same as you, I would probably only do seasons.
Yes they move to eternal after the season ends.
Yes Sir. They will transfer to eternal after the season finish.
Thanks everybody!
[Plus 3 characters, or way more, for 20, which now feels like littering.]
